They are a huge deal at the end of your career, but they are not huge when you are young and fresh.

Old men like me remember the days when the saying in boxing was “you should never fight for a title unless you have a loss”

      Those days are long gone

The aversion to a few losses is a fairly modern invention. Selling the undefeated Irresistible force vs the undefeated Immovable object. That's lazy promotion.
Educating fans is a more creative approach.

Any guesses how many losses the Ring's 10 greatest had in total?

You can add Jermain Taylor, Jeff Lacy, Tito Trinidad, the Prince and many others to that list.

I'm hopeful this is a new era under the super wealthy Saudis. Yes it's sports washing but, putting that aside, it's changed the game. (Mayweather era done?)

Boxing is the only combat sport where its considered the norm to have an undefeated record.

Dubois is probably a better fighter today than he would have been if he'd just can crushed until he was like 30.

This is true, but with AJ approaching 35 and having had to rebuild himself already I'm not sure if there is the appetite to do it again for him. Plus, in my mind the things needed to beat Dubois (in hindsight) AJ doesn't do well. He doesn't use his size well, and isn't a great clincher.

Maybe he can hold his hands up, and actually move his head in a potential rematch but DD will keep bulldozing forward and AJ has never been adept at fighting on the back foot.

Any fight between AJ and DD, for me primarily stems on who can land first and that is probably what will make AJ get into the ring again for a rematch.

Dubois clawed his way back the hard way. Aj on the other hand can face Jake Paul and his fan girls will say he’s back and he’ll get another title shot. Dude’s so protected

He can punch and, as you say, that's what they'll be thinking about now.

Joshua must have been the only person in the world who thought the first round would be a 'feeling out' round.

He never earned Dubois' respect or gave him anything to stop him coming forward.
