Dubois should be the true hvw champ right now or should’ve fought Fury for that title. Imo he ko’d Usyk with that body shot that the ref blatantly called low. That **** wasn’t low. He didn’t even act like he got hit low. He acted like he was gasping for air. That was a sham low blow that was called keeping it G. I’d love to see that rematch.

AJ’s career at the elite level is over. His biggest flaw like Wilder is that they couldn’t fight on the inside when they had to. Fighting on the inside is a lost art in today’s heavies. Only a few heavies can still do that today.
    Yep I always said it.

Getting hit by heavyweights will hurt you. It's just a fact. His reaction to getting hurt was always a concern though, going right back to the Wlad fight. He immediately lost his composure.

Fury's chin has been lauded but he's been put on kweer street too by a couple of fighters (and he's only really fought 3 decent ones - one of whom didn't throw anything)... but he has some survival instincts that kick in. Joshua's reaction has always been to lose his way and just become a target until he lands something in return to slow the attack down.

Dubois showed something else... You could see he was stung in the 5th. His reaction? Back off and get your composure. By the time Joshua came in, Dubois was waiting for him, not a target.

AJ gets hit and stays hit, that's his problem. He hasn't got a chin where he gets touched and it's lights out. Dubois is the first to keep him down.

Fury is like a bigger Juan Manuel Marquez. You can drop them, both have hit the deck a fair few times but their recovery rate is very rapid.

I have seen him jab, avoid punches and has multiple punches he uses. It is a reason why a Wilder or Fury fight was interesting because he does possess skills. He is a type of fighter when the fight does not goes his way he starts to diminish mentally. Both Usyk fights he was trying to win and adjusted but Usyk has a second gear and is able to adjust even more in a fight.

Bizarre that he thought he was going to fight with his hands by his chest and paw the jab. That's not how he fought Usyk. It sufficed for Ngannou, but come on now.

His chin is a problem but even more then his chin, I think his sense of self preservation is the main problem. You tag AJ with a punch and it's like hitting the reset button on him, his mind says "DANGER" and he immediately tries to backpedal and figure out what went wrong. Pressure him and his brain and his body can't keep up.

I honestly forget that muscles can be a burden in boxing when I've watched AJ. He's been pretty consistent in how he performs, whether for better or worse. I can't say I've seen him let's say gas out in 4-5 rds because of the muscles. Honestly, I think that was more of an issue people used to complain about Wlad who was also chiseled. I think it hasn't burdened AJ the same way.

That said, muscles mean nothing in your chin. You either got one or don't. AJ's weak spot is definitely there and at this point his career, it isn't going to get any better.

I tried telling the English muffins that not only wasn't AJ on Lennox Lewis' level, he was never on a prime Tyson Fury's level either.

He wasn't even better than Frank Bruno.

You read the whole post. He doesn’t have boxing skills. He has power when he can hit you, and that’s it. I know that this is hard to take, but he has major flaws that were hidden because has gotten away with it using his power to bail him out. I pointed out his flaws …I don’t taint fighters careers. What he has accomplished in the ring counts, but his flaws is why he was outboxed and kod. You’ve seen his losses, now ask yourself why he lost.

Many fighters have lost in the past, and lost respectably. People don’t feel that way about Joshua’s losses. He’s always given an excuse by his fans. He didn’t lose because he had a bad night or that the other guy was just better. He was out iced twice and stopped twice, and his power was a non factor in all of those fights. He isn’t a fighter that can change his game plan when his power can’t bail him out.
