Is Dubois the Fighter Of The Year so far?

Underdog against Hrgovic, smashed him to bits.

Underdog against AJ, smashed him to bits.

Can’t think of anyone who’s had a better year thus far.

It's hard to think of anyone who's had a better year. Would Usyk winning the rematch with Fury better it or the winner of Bivol-Bterbiev? I think Dubois will still be up there, great career comeback from the setbacks he's had too.

DDD is certainly better than people think. But not sure above Usuk, or Inoue

Yeah if Usyk wins the rematch I think he’s the clear choice. Good shout.

Let's not forget what Usyk achieved this year. At least Dubois matches AJ in size and weight and the formula to crack AJ was available. Fury was undefeated at that time and towered over Usyk.

He's had a good year but only beat 2 contenders. Bam beating estrada is more impressive in my opinion

                I hadn’t factored him in because I didn’t think he’d beat AJ.

                Right now I have it:

                1. DuBois
                2. Inoue
                3. Usyk

If Usyk beats Fury again I will reassess.

I think it's pretty much a conversation between:

Dubois: stoppages of two ranked contenders that he was underdog for, one who was two time unified champ, neither of whom are anywhere near P4P.

Usyk if he wins again v Fury, with two wins over the unified and lineal champ who's been P4P on most lists. Especially if he wins more definitively.

Inoue if he beats MJ/Goodman in December, with stoppage wins over 3 ranked contenders, one a former unified and two division champ, another a former champ, and Goodman, who is undefeated, or MJ, former unified champ with several defenses.

the winner of Bivol v Beterbiev with a win over an undefeated P4P champion with several good defenses. In the case of Bivol, he's also got a stoppage win over an unranked undefeated contender, and Beterbiev has a stoppage win over former super middleweight champ Callum Smith.

And a shout out to Bam if he beats #6 ranked Guevara, after also beating lineal king Estrada, who's been a frequent P4P stalwart, and activity kicker of Edwards, the #1 at 112 at the time of fight.

I think the biggest difference is that Dubois was the underdog, and most of the others besides Usyk weren't. But I personally favor Usyk if he beats Fury again, even though I think Fury was and is overrated. He's still a better win than Hrgovic who has fugh-all on his resume.
