Yeah, if milking mo' money for the least risk is the motivation, a shot Wilder vs a shot Joshua makes more sense.
If a legit try for greatness is the motivation, he's gotta aim for the top guys. We all know that.
The problem for Joshua/Hearn is which one of the top guys can he beat?
The biggest money fight for a Joshua cash out is to hope usyk wins the Fury rematch and that Fury wants to cash out too.

With the exception of Dubois - who is only 27 and is still growing into his prime - the other "top guys" are all like prime produce but at the end of (or very nearly so) their freshness date. Which means that they could, like Joshua - grow old overnight and show up on your table squishy soft, moldy, and no longer good.
Consider:
Usyk - 37 years old
Fury- 36 years old
Zhang - 41 years old
....and I don't think Joshua beats any of them today, provided none of these other three grow old and moldy either.
The second-tier top guys:
Parker - 32 years old
Kayabel - 31 years old
Bakole - 31 years old
....have relative youth on their side and I bet they all starch Joshua.
At the moment I can't think of any other heavyweights I would consider top guys. Wilder, Ruiz, and Miller seem like gatekeepers at this point. Any of these guys versus Joshua would be fun to watch but not especially meaningful in terms of determining a real champion or potential future champ.
It seems there are a lot of people who are AJ fans and are refusing to accept what happened yesterday. I did not have a horse in the race and watched the fight for the pure pleasure and excitement of watching a fight. I did not really know who would win.
Joshua was brutalized, outgunned, outfought and embarrassed by the young Daniel. I was shocked at how one sided beating it was. I expected a much tougher, closer, give and take fight, much like Daniels previous fight with Hrgovic with momentum changing and then ultimately someone prevails and wins by a KO.
I am not sure how Joshua can improve his chin for a rematch because he literally could not take any of Daniels punches. Everything was hurting him, even the jabs. He may be Ok to fight Wilder now, but he should not go back in the ring with Daniel because Daniel has Joshua's number.
I think Dubois most likely wins rematch but you cant say for sure. Once Joshua gets hurt its pretty much over for him Did you watch the first knockdown? Was novice stuff. He could avoid that for a start.
I think AJ should take rematch. He will get pulled out next time if he is getting knocked about - for some reason that ref wanted him to die in there. What other fighters get to continue when they are on wobbly legs??
Also what was AJ doing before the first knockdown? I want to know. He was kind of making a gesture with his hand low-down and not even really looking at Daniel. I haven't had time to watch back
Manny's fighter Lennox Lewis beat Hasim Rahman in an immediate rematch after getting KO'd in the first fight, so I doubt he would say that.
It was Steward. I guess he was talking more historically? I do remember Lennox plowing through Rahman. Watched both fights. So i do not have an explanation. All I know is I will not pick Joshua if they rematch immediately.

Yes, exactly. So where does Joshua go from here? Another 2-3 "rebuilding" (IE money grab) fights for a guy that is a two-time world champ? Maybe the British boxing fans will fall for that bollox again i don't know.
If I was Eddie Hearn. I would rather take the Fury fight over a Dubois rematch. Whether Tyson Fury loses to Oleksandr Usyk or not. That fight would be huge for the British boxing public.

Nah they lied about the numbers in Wembley there was only 80k and that's with comps even Chisora has come out and confirmed it and he's team AJ(literally).
And now he's been battered there won't be much of a desire to see him again, especially given the fact he was sparked by a guy a lot of people had written off as a quitter.
I said it long before this fight was signed that Joshua still looked vulnerable against Helenius. He got touched up & it took him 7 rounds to dispose of a fighter who came in on a weeks notice. Helenius had just beat some Walmart employee at home when the call came for this fight so he wasn't totally devoid of a training camp. The MMA guy was a waste of time & it gave Joshua a false sense of security & the same thing after the Wallin fight. Wallin is a decent fighter but not on AJ's level. He went on the narrative that I beat 2 of Fury's leftovers more impressively so I am ready for another run. So he now has lost 4 times & none of them to Wilder or Fury. I think he is on the serious decline. He just doesn't have the chin or heart to get back on top. He has no reason to fight on undercards so he might as well hang the gloves up. He doesn't need money so what is the motivation at 35 to fight in anything other than main events?
I would still watch Fury - Joshua, even if Fury loses to Usyk again.
