Yet Joshua seemed to be the only person who didn't realise it. When the bell rang he came out for a 'feeling out' first round and Dubois came for a fire fight. Inside 20 seconds there was only one winner.

It took Joshua 4 rounds to realise it was a fire fight. By then he was so damaged it barely mattered.
I actually though Joshua looked scared from the very first minute of the first round. Timid just means afraid. I don't know why - maybe Joshua remembered their sparring but he did not like Daniel's menacing presence in that ring. He was intimidated from the get go.

This has been a brutal year for Eddie Hearn. Without Turki Alalshikh, DAZN would be costing $300 a month.

All jokes aside, the outcome of this fight is not that far fetched. The fact of the matter is - Andy Ruiz broke Anthony Joshua, flat out. Heavyweight boxing is so volatile that it takes incredible mental fortitude to rebound from a loss, and maintain being a winner. Dubious himself was not too long ago called a quitter and we were singing the praises of Joe Joyce, who at THAT time was supposed to be a real life Juggernaut. All of this can change in a moment's instance so you can't triangle theory things, or overlay one fight outcome to mean another.

And another thing: I'm sick of people saying, "Oh now, we'll never get Joshua-Fury, we'll never get Joshua-Wilder" . YES YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN GET THOSE FIGHTS. The fanfare and the glitter may not be the same but all these dudes are under 40 and are marketable.

Gotta feel sorry for Josh Padley, he's there thinking 'well, huge bill, every favourite has won but I scored the upset of the night'. Sorry, Josh, you won't get many headlines outside the S Yorks Express.

If he didn’t swerve Wilder, AJ could’ve been an undisputed champ before the hype mobile came crashing down. Protected fraud

They can still make a profitable fight with Fury and call it Usyk’s Table Scrap(s). I’m here all week (though secretly posting from a wedding).
