I too would like the sources to the many comments and remarks that champion4ever is accusing Teo and his Dad of directing towards Haney and black fighters.. Not saying he didn't but I'd like to see them for myself to believe.

For the record, I'd be rooting for Haney against Teo if they ever fought....

I could go either way as far as picking. Would like to see a good fight.

As a fan of Haney, I'd be rooting for him against Teo, but just because I'm a fan of his doesn't mean I agree with everything that comes out of his mouth or his foolish behavior at times.

Again, I highly doubt Teo is afraid of Haney considering he's willing to face Bud, but I'm ok with agreeing to disagree.
That is factually incorrect. Bill Haney propositioned Teofimo Lopez, Sr about a potential fight between their two sons.

Teofimo Lopez’ Sr said it would cost them $20Mil.
If that is not ducking and pricing yourself out then I don’t know what it is. Go ahead and time stamp it.

It was right after the Lopez/Taylor weigh in. Look it up! It’s on YouTube.

It doesn’t matter how diminished Devin Haney may look once he makes his ring return.

Teofimo still won’t fight him because it is bad style match up for him. They are both counterpunchers who fight their best off the back foot.

Remember the time of the build up of Teofimo and Josh Taylor? Teofimo and his dad went on several social media channels accusing Top Rank of favoring black fighters over him; Mainly Devin Haney.

He stated this because he and his dad were jealous. Top Rank had just signed Devin Haney to a three fight deal to challenge for the undisputed lightweight championship of the world against Kambosos twice and then successfully defended it against Lomachenko..

He said Top Rank can have their black fighters but he wanted out and was retiring from the sport to start his own promotional company. There should be an article of this on NSB.

I heard one pod cast interview where jealous and foolish Teo accuses Top Rank of favoring black fighters. That is far from what you stated about him.

Where's "all that S hit he's spewing about black fighters? I'm open to being mistaken and maybe, as you stated, he did in fact spew all sorts of S hit about black fighters, but I just haven't heard it nor seen it, but if you can link all those interviews, please do so. Was he jealous and angry at Top Rank for not treating him as generously as they were treating Haney? Absolutely!

Haney claimed no "white boy" would beat him. It would be silly for someone to claim he was spewing all sorts of S hit about white fighters. Some might argue that Haney is a racist. I don't think neither one of them is racist, but both of them are indeed foolish, uneducated men who are talented boxers, who along with their fathers say the ******est things.

Maybe asking for $20M was in response to the Haney's offering Teo 20 to 25% of the purse. Do you know the exact amount that the Haney's offered Teo? If it was only 25% of the purse, would you agree that Haney is afraid of fighting Teo, knowing Teo would reject such offer?

That's your proof? I mean fighters say silly comments everyday. This is not that. It sounds like Teo felt that way and gave an indication as to why. Why does that make someone racist? If I say I don't agree with B L M because it favors black people and it should want no harm to any people you have to qualify that if you're going to call that racist.

It sounds like you're one of those that want to control how people use language, and censor everybody. Why shouldn't someone be able to state favoritism? Certainly I black people have been able to make claims of favoritism and for good reason! Why can't a Hispanic do the same? Why can't a white person do the same?

Why was he singling out black fighters to start with? There was no need for him to attempt to stir up a shitstorm by race-baiting.

His father attempted to walk back those comments by stating that he has a black son in-law. However, Teofimo proceeded to double down on them.

He hates Devin Haney and I get that. However, to single out an entire group of people based on the color of their skin is not only racist but just plain wrong.

Now regarding Haney’s White boy comment; He has since apologized for it over and over again because he said it in part jest. It was an attempt to goad Loma into the ring.

However, these race based tribalist fans will never let him him live that down. They have never forgiven him for making that comment.

It was all trash talk. It wasn’t said out of malice or ill intent. He just wanted to fight Loma that’s all. It was a joke; Which is the reason why he apologized.

It is very unfortunate that many of them still carry a grudge against him to this very day even after he has repented and apologized for making it several times.

First of all, the Haney’s had nothing to offer Teofimo Lopez, Jr because they were no longer champions at 135. They both vacated the 135 lbs division to move up to 140 .

Where Teo won his first title against Josh Taylor for the WBO belt in 2023. While Haney would win his first title at 140 later that year in December against Regis Prograis.for the WBC belt.

He was obviously reacting out of anger and jealousy because he felt he was not getting the same treatment that marquee names like Haney and perhaps Bud received from Top Rank. He obviously felt that he's just as good as Haney and Bud, I personally don't think he's as good. Teo speaks foolishly and has a history of being foolish with his words and not just against black fighters. But I agree that he was wrong in singling out black fighters.

Can you please explain how or when Teo doubled down on his foolish words regarding black fighters? For all I know, you might be right and he might have, I just can't find anything that leads me to believe he doubled down.

As for Haney, he apologized for using the term White Boy, not for implying that no white man could ever beat him. Many would argue that what makes Haney a racist is that he indirectly stated that white men are inferior to him, therefore he wouldn't lose to a white man.

                      These were Haney's words

“Over the last couple days I’ve had time to reflect on a lot,” Haney revealed in a public statement on Tuesday. “I sincerely regret using a term that I have now learned to be derogatory to many of my fans, friends and associates.”

“I can tell you this – I will never lose to a white boy in my life,” Haney (24-0, 15KOs) insisted during the session, which streamed live on April 15. “I don’t care what nobody got to say. Listen, can’t no white boy beat me, I don’t care, on any day of the week. I fight a white boy like 10 times, I’m gonna beat him 10 times.”

I personally feel that neither man is racist but both have a tendency to spit out foolish words without thinking. Both of these guys have fathers whom are active in their lives and should know better and teach their son's better. Maybe the blame lies on both their fathers for not teaching them better.

For as heated as the rivalry was between Oscar and Sugar Shane, I can't remember them insulting each other because of their cultural differences. Jack did a fantastic job fathering and educating his son... I don't think Oscar's father did as good a job though.

I had time today so excuse my long posts. I do want to thank you for the civil and respectful dialogue and I'd like to add that I agree with you on many things and consider you an educated poster on boxing matters.

                      Cheers to you!
