He should have taken the Shakur unification fight. I'm sure majority of fans would be rooting for him to end the Stevenson hype and the boring-ness associated with it. Or at least dampen it to realistic levels. But this is boxing. It's not a sport, it's a business, a complicated one. They don't even do business when both fighters are free agents and can fight anywhere they want to, which is the situation here; Stevenson leaving Arum and Davis leaving Floyd.

The Stevenson/Tank potential fight didn't even get to a back and forth stage. It's just completely ignored by Tank.

It's also a business with inconsistent fans. They were pressing Crawford to fight Ennis ignoring the business side of it. Yet they won't apply the same pressure here and instead do a complete turn around and say Shakie is not a good business plan for Abdul Wahid.

How the he ll would you know the details of these offers you cite? And what do you determine to create some idea of a "good faith offer?" I can answer that: You do not know shiat. I kind of get the British fans who love their fighters and wade into the promotions, and they can start to sound ridiculous... But here you are, some casual on a board, telling people you know the details of offers made by the likes of Ward, and Tank, enough to determine "a good faith" offer. Really? How would you determine that?

I actually agree with you that Tank cherry picks. But if you understand boxing at all... You can determine why Loma should not take this fight. Loma is already fighting up, as he has had to do what... most of his career? He would be fighting a puncher, while he is not getting younger... I mean look at the Leo Santa Cruz Tank fight. Granted Loma can move, but why would he subject himself, at this stage in his career, at the weight, to a fight with Tank? It would have to be a substantial offer! So what Tank offers is academic.

Regarding Ward: Ward never ducked opponents, when he fought Kovalev, (wasn't that who he chose over GGG ultimately?) Kovalev was considered as tough, if not tougher (and bigger) than Triple G. Again, YDKSAB! Kovalev was considered a much tougher fight for Ward. Yet you make it sound like Ward could do a Canelo and fight some journeyman, or... offer Triple G a bona fide... which is BS when we look at the context, isn't it?

Can't blame them for focusing on other fights. Frankly, fans should have more fighters to focus on instead of just one, two, three, who don't even fight often.

There are probably people who would just as soon undermine the Stevenson fight because they are afraid Tank would Murda him! (as they say in old Brooklyn!). This makes it ohhh so convenient for Tank to avoid this fight lol. I guess when there is no real money to be made following a fighter, if it is convenient and practical to simply duck. That is what these guys are doing. Tank fought Garcia, or the version of Garcia that constitutes Garcia's skeleton... because Garcia brings money to the table. These guys are just not about legacy... it is the Pink Floyd, I mean Money Mayweather Floyd, era! Keep your goose egg! legacy? what is that? Mayweather himself fought Oscar for a similar reason. Tank was raised up in that way of thinking, even if he denies it.

Bottom line is fighters can avoid any fight whether it be unification, mandatory, clamored by fans, ordered by XYZ orgs, etc. citing business reason, injury, mental health, wife issues, you name it. Except the word "ducking" is not applied in a broad sense, but determined subjectively by biased fans.
