Fight should have happened four years ago. I like Gary but he's too injury prone, too inactive and too old.

TBA wants to come back. He might get a crack because he fits the bill. A named opponent for a resume.

This guy has been begging for fights ever since I can remember. Won't be long he'll be in the company of others who used to be 'stars' soon. Thurman, Spence, Charlo 1 and 2, dudes who waste their primes with made up excuses. Garcia is done and would probably take random fights here and there getting paychecks ten times less than what he used to make. Money fights are over for him.

Wasn't Russell's shoulder gone forever, or so?

I'd rather see the light welter GAR fight Tank.

Gary Russell Jr has a boxing IQ, and can at least think at Tank’s level, but he’s done nothing to earn this fight.

old, inactive, post surgery Gary Russell jr is still too much of a threat for Tank.

News flash, Gary nominated himself for retirement damn near 3 years ago.
Gary was a damn good fighter during his glory days, but he wasted a lot of time while champion.
He only defended his title once a year in order to extend his championship reign, holding the belt hostage.
That prevented many marquee fights from happening during the 7 years in which he held the title.
He only made 5 successful title defenses, when he could've made 14-21 defenses if he had been an active champion.
He was inactive, and it cost him a lot of money, fame, and status along the way.
Now he want's to return against Tank who is the most vicious knockout artist in the sport?
It's way to late for you Gary 'Mr.' Russell Jr., and against Gervonta 'Tank' Davis, it's way to dangerous!

Fact's, Fact's, Fact's!!! You forgot the most important fact of all, he would be going against the most powerful knockout artist in boxing today!
