It’s highly dubious that he will be able to come back down to 168 after several fights at 175 and not be severely impacted by the weight cut

That may be Canelo’s plan- let him adjust to 175 for a few years and then get him down to 168 where he will be drained to the point of being easily beatable

Benny has only himself to blame, he showed disrespect to the face of boxing, he shd be calling out bivol or Beterbiev, his 168 days are done!

I was rooting for Benavidez to beat Canelo in a potential showdown, but now my sentiments are changing. I'm kind of leaning Canelo now. Benavidez is a good fighter and I'm a fan of his. But Canelo is now a legend and I'm a sucker for wanting to see legends overcome challenges late in their careers.

Benavidez style and attributes are all wrong for clenelo which is why no amount of money will make little red coward-hood get in there with Benny

he has over come his challenge, he booted him out of the weight class after waiting years for his shot & calling him a fattie who offers nothing to him, job sorted

I don’t understand why Benavidez doesn’t do more to force the fight with Canelo. He should be constantly calling him a coward in front of as many people as possible. Go in the ring after one of Canelo’s fights and demand it. Remind people of all of his b.s. excuses( "I don’t fight Mexicans!,” etc.) Embarrass him until he has no choice but to agree to the fight.

That’s the thing. If he does all that Canelo will be less inclined to fight him. He will say Benavidez is unprofessional and doesn’t call the shots.

Canelo invited him to the ring and he just stared and smiled like a fan.

Benavidez sits in a grey area... He won't beat Ginger @ 168 and there's no room for him @ 175 as we speak... Dead ends everywhere....
