More opportunities? Benavidez claimed his first belt by being allowed to cut in front of Smith who was the actual WBC #1 fighter. He then dropped it from doing coke. He was given another shot and allowed to cut in front of the Dirrell -Yildirim rematch. But what did he do this time? Reject Plant and Smith unifications, and drop his belt after being ordered to defend against Smith (who had been petitioning for it ever since David cut in front of him). Afterward, he rejected a 175 despite blowing weight at 168 and refused to activate his mandatory status despite all his talk. He's currently at 175 and injured but he still hates on/clout chases Canelo for taking fights he ducked out on lol?

You canelo fans are such hypocrites. You forget how canelo cut the line at 154 and was allowed to fight for the wbc at just 20 yrs old against an unranked welterweight at a catchweight and then missed the contracted weight , yet still got the title. He later on failed a vada test and was allowed to fight for a title in his very next bout. He’s also cut the line to get a shot in every division he moved into. Nobody in boxing is more entitled than canelo and no one in recent history has received a title shot for multiple belts with so little credibility as Berlanga.
oh and there’s no such thing as activating your mandatory status with the wbc. That’s just an excuse you canelo fans make up to defend his cowardice.

The Benavidez are steady hanging onto Canelo's jockstrap while they sit around and do very little. Like somebody rightfully mentioned, he is at a dead end. They can no longer weight bully at 168 cos he probably can't make the weight and his size at 175 seem less of an advantage.

So they don’t think Berlanga is worthy but they hope he wins ? That’s some twisted logic.Meanwhile,David challenges himself with the so dangerous Jessie Hart ,ok

Benavidez won't beat Alvarez @ 168 because Cinnamon is scared to death to fight him.

I do agree with you to a certain extent. I think Benavidez earned his shot after beating Plant and Andrade. He's got a better resume than Brerlanga does.
