Yes, of course, Saul Alvarez's wins against champion after champion and other accomplishments are weak when compared to the astonishing accomplishments of David Benavidez. By the way, my friend, a CV refers to academic accomplishments, research, and publications. I don't think that is what we are talking about here.

      How could they?

Their hero just simply refuses to challenge the very best opposition and competition available. By refusing to take risks and cherrypicking himself all the way to the bank.

All-time great fighters don’t fight limited and overmatched opponents. What’s worse is that this smug and arrogant prick has no sense of shame or honor at all.
"All-time great fighters don’t fight limited and overmatched opponents." This is simply not true for any Hall-of-Fame fighter or any other boxer for that matter. Do your research, please. So Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Mayweather, you name the fighter, never fought a limited and overmatched opponent? That is not what the record shows. Moreover, having a reasonably long elite-level career in boxing and never having fought an overmatched or limited opponent is statistically impossible. Think about it!

I’m just responding to you saying Benavidez is weight bully. Nothing defines a weight bully like fighting Khan who started his career at 135 and was known to have a glass jaw and then fighting a 154 Ibs guy in Charlo.

Benavidez makes 168 Ibs and that’s what matters. Some are starting to call Boots a weight bully because he’s big for 147.

Not anyone of your fighters that you like can perform like Canelo has . People like that can never be satisfied and it's all because their favorite fighter didn't live up to their expectations!!!!!!!! If your unbiased and take a step back and respect the fact that he truly be beating ass .........you'll feel better . Put on Canelo vs Kirkland tonight. And keep believing delusional thoughts. I'll see you at the looney bin my g

He shouldn't vacate the belts he plans on defending against mandatories...
              You're joking?

Let me be clear! I would rather see Ginger face Benavidez or rematch Bivol( I don't think he'll fare any better a second time), but I was replying to this bolded post of your statement.

Why should he vacate his belts if he plans on defending his mandatories?????? If he's fighting his mandatories, he is technically following the guidelines of the organizations. He was rightfully stripped of the IBF belt for not facing that organization's mandatory...

I am too old to be a fanboy or a hater. I will truly respect any fighter who has the courage to step into that ring and risk his life for my entertainment and the discipline and dedication to staying in shape year round for that many years, which in Ginger's case, has been most of his life. Guy's like Ginger and Floyd could have easily been distracted by the money, fanfare and distractions of life, like many greats. For example, Whitaker and Chavez....

Ginger started his pro career at 15 or 16 years of age fighting grown men at 140 lbs and has fought as high as 175 lbs. Some of my all-time favorites remained in 1 weight class or fought in only 2 weight classes their entire pro career.

When I was 15 and 16, I was playing high school football and enjoying my teenage years like a normal teenager, Ginger was fighting grown men at that age to help his family out financially. As an American, I have had the privilege to not need to work at 15 in order to help out my family financially and was lucky enough to have been allowed to have somewhat of a normal childhood.

Ginger isn't my favorite or one of my favorite fighters but I find it hard to hate on a man who is much more successful than I, especially when he was given less of an opportunity as a child than I.

You can respect all you want, and that's your opinion and I hope you're paying for this. I ask you if you were joking, because telling me that berlanga is a mandatory sounds like a joke. I guess you believe in St Claus too, if you believe Mr. berlanga is the deserving "mandatory". Be safe.

Thanks for the respectful reply garfios!

No, I surely won't be paying for the fight!

Why wouldn't I believe in old Kris Kringle, he's been good to me most years.... Joking obviously.

Berlanga being mandatory has nothing to do with whether I believe he's deserving or not. Neither I nor Ginger elected him as mandatory, the Governing Body of the WBA did. Whether we like it or not, the fact still remains that Berlanga is the mandatory and Ginger is fulfilling his obligation in defending against his mandatory, so why call on him to Vacate his belt for the WBA when he's fulfilling his obligation?

                    Cheers bro!

He should have vacated a long time ago. He refused to fulfill his obligation when Morrell jr was his WBA mandatory, for three years he didn't even look that way, and two years for the WBC which the mandatory was the most deserving one, benavidez. Please believe what you want and if you think he is fulfilling his obligation against berlanga, good for you. Be safe
