We don't know his situation. He might've blown all his earnings many times over already. He made 10 mil, but when you owe 50 it doesn't help much.

Baby mamas, lawsuits and just plain stupidity ruined many a man.

        True Story:
When my second child was born premature with a few complications, Georgetown University Hospital had us bring her back a few times for follow-up exams rather than switch right over to the unaffiliated pediatrician. The attending pediatrician for three of those follow-up appointments was none other than Mike Tyson's wife at the time (this was in 1998) Dr. Monica Turner. We were there to give my baby the care she needed and not shoot the shee-it about boxing and get some inside scoops about one of the greatest and most notorious heavyweights of all time. Nevertheless, I couldn't NOT scratch that itch even a little bit, so on the second visit I sort of tilted my head to the side and with a little smile I said, "Ummm, Mike Tyson?" 'Monica' and 'Turner' are not that uncommon for names and maybe this Dr. Turner was a lookalike. Dr. Turner smiled back and gave me the "this is how I answer the question I get asked all the time now" look and said, "Mmm hmmm", also with a little wry smile. And that was that.

        Epilog:
My daughter rallied and grew up healthy, strong, and beautiful.
Dr. Turner impressed me with her professional demeanor, attention to my daughter, and was a delightful person in the very limited interaction we had with her.
Back in those days, conventional perception of Mike Tyson was that he was a foolish and violent brute out of the ring. My tangential dip into the orbit of his world got me thinking there was more to Mike Tyson than most people realize. Now, decades later, I think I was right.

Its funny how all those people who were saying Paul had no chance against Tyson have reversed their opinion after Tyson got ill on a plane.

Everyone smart knew this was always an easy fight for Jake Paul

I'm not worried about Tyson - ref will stop the fight early because he's old and he will make a ton of money.

At the end of the day, Mike Tyson is a grown man who makes his own choices, but someone should seriously step in and say "Sorry, X age is the cut off and you passed that, oh, fifteen years ago." If we know within a degree of certainty that the body generally starts to decline around a specific age, then barriers should be enforced to keep dangerous nonsense fights like this from happening.

Thank you for the kind words, I do appreciate it.
The bottom line is that one's health and well-being are so much more precious than what Jake Paul's sideshow circus act is worth.
I admire the way Tyson has, over the years, been able to rehabilitate his life and grow into a more multivalent personality than his earlier years seemed to suggest he was capable of having. I would hate to see a 58 year old Tyson take unnecessary punishment.

Agreed 1000%. I have always appreciated Mike in his entirety, wàrts and all, since the very beginning. To me, in spite of what haters have kept saying over the decades, he's the quintessential "brutally honest" human being - much to his detriment, most times.

I agree with you for the most part, but even a grown man's judgement can be compromised if you owe a lot of money / have many pending lawsuits / smoke too much weed.
