    Venado Lopez's post-Leo brain bleed

Just today I came to know about Venado Lopez having suffered a brain bleed after being knocked out by Angelo Leo. Luckily, things have not worsened over the week, but Venado's career is most probably over.

I can't see to recall any article here about this news, did I miss it?

Yeah horrible situation. He got cracked hard multiple times throughout the fight as well before that one big KO shot.

He was one of the most entertaining guys to watch in recent times, hope he makes a full recovery.

That's too bad, with a style that open an accident was waiting to happen

Hopefully he doesn't try to fight again, most places in Mexico outside of Mexico City they will let him fight no problem

So we probably haven't heard the last of Lopez

I hope for him he was able to at least buy his family a home. I know the younger generation is going to do what they want but these instances should be lessons to anyone wanting to take boxing up as a career. Have a back up plan!

Any able bodied American male that's boxing should go join the Military or Police Reserves. You don't make it as a boxer, you will still have a steady paycheck and insurance.

I've met too many 28-32yo boxers working a hard day in construction because their boxing careers aren't as bright as when they were 21.

Unfortunate that the most active beltholder who seemed to give a damn in the featherweights is now gone...I guess that division isn't gonna do any unification until the cash cow in Inoue shows up, quite pathetic for all of them. Atleast I can look forward to Espinoza-Robeisy II in the meantime though.

By the way is Vargas retired yet? He needs to either fight his interim Figueroa or just vacate and leave, he has been way overprotected for some reason.
