Bags, I agree with what you’re saying about Canelo beating both of them, but you’re reaching when you say that Berlanga could beat Benny’s opponents with same results.

At no point have I seen anything to suggest Berlanga would beat Plant, Andrade, Lemieux, nor anybody of any relevance generally.

I’m not shilling for Benavidez (I think he’s a good fighter but I don’t see him beating Canelo), let’s just keep things in perspective by not saying Berlanga is equal to Benavidez.

Physically similar on the tale of the tape and both have power…but one’s at least got scalps. Berlanga’s best win?

Berlanga’s 23rd fight will be a more legit opponent than Benavidez has ever faced, but that’s only because he happened to land the fight by sheer divine intervention. We’d be saying the same thing if Benavidez had been picked. He just hasn’t…or won’t Who the hell really knows at this point?

Is there a scenario where Berlanga would’ve beaten Plant? Sure, maaaaaaaaaaybe. Same with Lemieux…maaaaaaaaaaaaybe. I’d still favor both Plant and Lemieux (back then) to beat Berlanga.

I don’t think he would’ve beaten Andrade either, though. Berlanga’s been super lukewarm lately and he just doesn’t convince me.

i dont believe in fighters being scared of one another.... they fight for a living... they been fighting since a young age... i dont think any fighter is scared of another fighter.... a fighter might not wanna take the fight in fear that he might lose and damage his record and image, but that's not the same as being scared of another fighter... even that short video clip of floyd looking shook when margarito was in the same building, but even for that, i dont think floyd was scared.. these guys fight for a living. nobody is scared of anyone.
