No matter what, GGG will always have been 7 years older.
At what point would their fight have made sense, prime for prime ?

Also, and again, no one mentions GGG's age unless it's vs Nelo

Vanes, Roll, Murata, Shortychenko and Kamil somehow all fought a better version of GGG than Nelo did ?!?!!?

I will probably get some flack for this, but it felt like Stevenson swerved Kovalev pretty hard. HBO was hoping it hard and momentum was Building; it looked like they were on a collision course and next thing you know, Superman is taking his talents to another network.
      Don't forget Frank Bruno!

No one is claiming Benevides is great. What is being said is that despite Benevides having a better resume than any other 168 lb contender and Benevides bringing Canelo more $$$, prestige and legacy than any other 168 lb contender, Canelo won’t even consider fighting him. Quack quack

Considering Canelo called David a great fighter, a few days ago in an interview, maybe you should ask him, since you won't believe anything we say.

            Ever so slightly
IMHO, there is no significant gap between Berlanga and Benny

Nelo doesn't need anymore ''legacy'' fights
            They do.
            Nelo has proven his point
            They haven't

It baffles my mind how people can hate Nelo, which is fair, but love boxers who haven't DONE 1/2 as much.
            ''Big, strong, awkward !''

            Meh

And if Nelo said Benny has only fought bums, you'd agree ?

If you can’t find a significant gap between Benevides and Berlanga, you’re either lying to fit your agenda or a complete moron. I’m curious, which is it?

                  Neither are worth the hype
Your boy Benny gets way too much hype for a guy who's best win is Plant (UD12 no less)
Berlanga could have beaten everyone Benny beat
Benny is just another boogeyman so called UNBIASED ( )fight ''fans'' clamor over.

What makes Benny ''great'', besides nothing ...

                  6' 2'', 74 1/2 reach, age 27
                  29 fights in
                  Benny's 22nd opponent - Dirrell

                  6' 1'', 73'' reach, age 27
                  22 fights in
Would, IMHO, have the same results vs Benny's 22 opponents.

Bags, I agree with what you’re saying about Canelo beating both of them, but you’re reaching when you say that Berlanga could beat Benny’s opponents with same results.

At no point have I seen anything to suggest Berlanga would beat Plant, Andrade, Lemieux, nor anybody of any relevance generally.

I’m not shilling for Benavidez (I think he’s a good fighter but I don’t see him beating Canelo), let’s just keep things in perspective by not saying Berlanga is equal to Benavidez.

Physically similar on the tale of the tape and both have power…but one’s at least got scalps. Berlanga’s best win?
