I love watching Lopez fight. I love it when any guy with a crazy eclectic style beats a much more traditional style. He can land the one shot bomb from weird angles. I love it because it shouldnt happen.. I got nothin against Leo but I want to see it. That said, because it shouldnt happen, I dont think it will. My money's on Leo.

Whats with the lack of obvious #1 guy in featherweight for the longest time...in fact in all honesty when was the last time there was an unified featherweight champion???

I like Leo, he is very solid and skilled. Lopez is something else but he makes his thing work. Should be an entertaining fight but I can't imagine either getting sparked early. I expect a war that goes some rounds...

...because I think they're waiting for Inoue to move up. It's pretty pathetic. TR controls the division, so they're also partly at fault.

Lopez is entertaining, but I can see Leo getting used to his unorthodox style as the fight goes on, if he adjusts early enough he can win a decision.

Technically, Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Orlando Salido should had been the latent unification bout in 2010 (14 years ago), but since Salido rehydrated more than the IBF limit (10 pounds), he lost his belt in the scale.

The last unification was in 2003. Juan Manuel Marquez vs Derrick Gainer for the IBF and WBA featherweight titles. (21 years ago).

Early 2000s featherweight was stacked, with the likes of Luisito Espinosa, Kennedy Mckinney, Naseem Hamed, Kevin Kelley, Orlando Salido, Chris John, Junior Jones, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez were around.

Too bad Loma was born a bit later, making his debut in 2013.
