Yeah, my takeaway was the comedy of the whole thing. I was also wondering who gets invited to the ballroom of the Beverly Hills Hotel and did the audience at the round banquet tables get a nice lunch out of it?

Canelo is actually a funny guy. He's got a good delivery for his rather dry sense of humor and his English is definitely improving.
I don't know how much of the animosity we saw between Berlanga and Canelo was staged and contrived, but it didn't matter because I was entertained. The funniest part was Canelo's reactions to Berlanga's laughable assertion that he had a higher ring IQ than Canelo. Uh, yeah, I don't think so.

Also, what's up with Caleb Plant? He came across like a wired-up douchebag. Rolly Romero also surprised me by his relaxed and non-douchebag demeanor toward his opponent.

I am not a fan of Canelo...however, the guy has been fighting for 20 years. He fought Floyd, GGG three times, Bivol @ 175, Cotto etc. He has a lot of miles on him, so I am not going to complain when he takes some easy fights against younger guys. He is giving them a good payday. Sucks that he is only now really learning English because he could have been a bigger draw if he learned it sooner so he can trash talk.

The complaints are not for the easy fights, it is for the belts he is holding hostage. Vacate and let the mandatories sort it out.

Canelo is just funny when he wants to be, but deadly serious in the ring. I just recently went through his record. Damn but he's fought the best. Show some respect as we will miss him when he's gone. Who are we to question his prediction, if canelo says out before the 8th then I'm going to gamble for a tko or ko before the 8th.

STFU, check the age of the people he fought at the time of the fight, that would tell you the whole picture. He doesn't respect himself cherrypicking this type of fighters, so write to him and ask him to have respect for himself and his fans. The guy is a fraud.
