this is why i laugh when people say fighters fight for money or the most money. they dont. they are ego-maniacs. they fight to boost their ego just as much as their pocketbook. canelo would make way more to fight benavidez, but he doenst want to possibly lose so he takes less money and easy wins. floyd did the same. you cant entice an already rich guy to fight simply by offering more money

No bro, the offer was taken off the table because Canelo didn't want to negotiate before his fight with Berlanga. It's disrespectful and unprofessional to negotiate for another fight while you're preparing for a fight that's 6 to 7 weeks away.

I watched the fight 4 times now, with and without commentating and Crawford clearly beats Madrimov, he lost fair and square. As for Canelo, Canelo he doesn't move like Madrimov, he has cement feet, he's not left handed and he doesn't have stamina to beat Crawford.

Besides, Canelo doesn't want to fight Crawford, not even for more than what he's making for Berlanga and that's cool
I too watched the fight again and still had the same outcome. Crawford won fair and square. Joel Diaz know it and so does Eddie Hearn. Madrimov did good, he went for single shots only because he was scared of being countered like all other Crawford victims. That approach was good because Crawford did not get a chance to counter him and hurt him. He had to go on the attack in rounds 11 and 12 to secure the victory.

I actually agree that Canelo had a good reason, but somehow he got under Turki's skin. I don't know if it was a choice of words during that conversation, but obviously Turki likes to be in the driving seat and decided that Canelo was being disrespectful and withdrew the offer. Two divas wanted to have it their way. It never ends well.

A man that loves getting worshipped cannot comprehend and will consider it insulting when another man doesn't cater to their demands or needs..

even at 10 rounds is fair. only the one judge was off. yeah in todays age that is pretty decent. madrimov could have very very well won this fight if he took a few more risk, it was there for the taking and he didnt press it to the next level and take those risks. thats on him.

Crawford was waiting for Madrimov to take those risks so he can counter him. That is what he does to everyone. Madrimov and his coach have studied this carefully and came up with a game plan where he does reasonably well and does not get busted up. Unfortunately for them, that game plan only gives them a safe, close fight but not what they really want - a victory. If he pressed the action more, the scorecards would have been wider in Bud's favor.
