The main event was way too late, especially for those living on the East Coast.

Couldn't disagree more. This was a well-written, witty op-ed that accurately told the story of the night as experienced by a lot of frustrated fans. Turki Alalshikh and friends should read this and listen. As far as the Boxingscene staff goes, this guy is the best of the bunch.

I have literally seen the US national anthem played before fights with no US fighters in so whatever on that one.

The most disappointing thing was how many empty seats there still with for say the Bakole fight is there any point in a deep undercard if people don't show up. Honestly I would have more understood some one leaving before Crawford and Eninem ;-)
I think people of different generations might view this differently. I, for one, was particularly bothered to see the Saudi flag (or at least its image) and hear the Saudi national anthem played over a major sporting event in the US. I didn't like it and I don't want to see it again. Only the flags of the competitors and the host nation should be flown in these kind of events.

I love super cards. I stopped ordering boxing PPVs because that essentially stopped. Nothing is worse than spending money on a ppv, and seeing a main event end in the first round, end up being a stinker, or worse....with no other good matches.

I'm old school and have a long attention span. The only thing that I hate is the musical performance before the main event. I like Eminem, but there is a time and a place. Plus you have to know your demographic. Folks come to see boxing. Not everyone is going to be into a particulars artist's music. I expect my main event to begin before midnight too. I live on the East coast.

They need to streamline these events. Less time in between fights. No concerts, no car giveaways, no buttt kissing ceremonies. I'm here for the boxing. The extras don't enhance the event.

It wasn't the mere use of the honorific that was bothersome...it was the repetition...over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I appreciate a great card like everyone else and also appreciate that people have different tastes when it comes to "entertainment," but all the acclaim seemed like mandatory (and excessive) reverence. It made Don King look like Mother Teresa.

Get rid of the Eminem concert, the endless amounts of talk, the in-ring ceremonies, and the national anthems before you get rid of actual boxing.

****** article... I miss weekday boxing.

I don't feel it took TOO long in between fights.... the Eminem performance definitely threw off the overall flow which was going good until then.

My dad is someone who goes to sleep early, 10pm on a weekend is him staying up late.

There's no reason it should've taken over an hour for the main event to start. That was insane.
