I hope he lives up to the hype and isn’t just another Jared Anderson. I’m glad they are taking it slow with it and not desperately trying to break Mike Tyson’s record instead

You could always do worse than sticking with Fisheyes.

Teremoana Teremoana is a name to watch for the future too.

Another Pasifikan to follow on from Parker and Opetaia.

'The difference is this kid can move... Thes rest of these guys cannot seem to box, only to punch. Anderson had a jab but could not move on his toes'

Agree, I like Itauma a lot. Anderson's problems went beyond movement. He reminds me a lot of DDD. He has no head movement & no upper body movement & he seems mechanical, but it goes beyond that. Both DDD & Anderson have v low ring IQs. They go in the gym, practice moves, then they go out in the ring & do them. Whether they work or not they carry on because that is what they've practiced. Anderson kept ducking low because, presumably, he'd been told it would make him hard to hit, even though he was fighting a big, slow moving MoFo whose favourite punch was an uppercut. Between Anderson's rigidity, his corner's ******ity & the referee's complicity it is a wonder the poor kid got out alive.

Lads still a working progress & needs to progress at a sensible pace. Personnally I'd like to see him on the AJ/DDD Wembley card against current English champion Solomon Dacres. There seems to be genuine needle between the two of them & as both are signed to Queensbury must be easy to make. I know Dacres is scheduled to fight David Adelaye, but DA's pulled out a couple of times & should go to the back of the queue. Failing that bring on Johnny Fisher!.......

Of course, the reasonable comparisons with Jared Anderson come to mind.
For what it's worth, this Itauma seems to have a more grounded and mature attitude than Anderson.
That counts for so much, regardless of technique and skills. I'm hopeful for this kid's success.

I'd go and watch him fight on an undercard which is rare for me.

Also unlike Jared Anderson, this kid isn't in constant legal trouble. That's nice. I like the attitude.
