the olympic guidelines based on your passport deciding it are hopeless, completely hopeless

this is boxing and not foreign travel

the IOC have only themselves to blame for this blowing up, they knew it might happen just like it did in the last major championships & they did nothing to put something in place in case it did, the 2 ladies didnt challenge or contest the charge they failed a gender test to CAS because most likely they both know there is an issue there and they would lose their appeal so its just a wing and a prayer in cahoots with the clowns at the IOC hoping it doesnt rear its head again, hopeless mismanagement & only themselves to blame

there is an issue with these 2 ladies and the uncertainty is also fueling this as well as vague and lax rules on the topic, lets have a look at your passport seemingly being incredible just it, wow

if they have different chromosomes hormone testos levels ok fair enough let people know about it, they may be in the male range but they identify as female, its an issue that needs proper addressing in a dangerous sport & where their competitors are clearly uncomfortable with the whole thing, clown show im afraid

Yes it needs addressing. Yes the IOC have fked this up.

But what's the problem here? A young girl at school is a bit of a tomboy so she takes up boxing instead of dancing. She gets pretty good and then people complain and tell her she's a bit too manly.

I'm dead against trans people being able to fight. But that's where this argument is going to go. Gender will get defined by tests rather than by the obvious. You'll absolutely get men transitioning and passing tests.

This is just a woman with with physical advantages. Not a man becoming a woman.

And as for the Italian (who is hardly the most feminine specimen I've ever seen) complaining that it hurt when she got punched, what did she think would happen when she took up boxing?

I've never seen a weaker 'no mas' moment in the sport. People get separated from their senses and yet she quit because a punch hurt her nose.

IMO frankly in the case of sports it really shouldn't be a matter of transgender, personal identification, hormone levels or what your birth certificate says...if you have the Y chromosome then you shouldn't be competing with those without a Y chromosome, period.

Heck, even during the cold war with all the Soviet "women" with insane testosterone levels only had X chromosomes at birth, they may have been artificially given "suppliments" to assist which is a whole different topic but their chromosomes didn't contain Y.

Many girls with short hair can look male, but when they talk you think "oh my bad you are a girl, in fact "
So I wouldn't automatically criticised imane for how she looks. Need to hear you talk, that's a better indicator. How you sound is more of a decider after the XY chromosome.
Girls with deep voices I don't find attractive, although some men might like a husky voice

XY chromosomes = male. Sorry if the rest of your genes are expressing themselves abnormally. If this is true it’s clearly a genetic condition and that is abnormal. Special Olympics were made for non-standard professional athletes.

She went into that fight thinking that she was fighting a trans woman and didn't want to get "beat up by a man."

She was defeated mentally before she stepped in the ring and then cried in the middle of the ring, for good measure, to garner sympathy.

Today she has issued an apology.
