I don’t believe or think what he’s saying is to tear Canella down, he speaking truth to power! Morrell is a great fighter like Benavidez and has been avoided by the cherry picking ass Canella, what’s wrong with that?

Canelo is a fighter, and his head has gotten big over the years because of his time with Golden Boy. They pumped up his ego and promoted him as the king of boxing and all of this has went to his head. To me Canelo is all about the money at this point. He has an incredibly big ego to match his financial demands. He only fights guys he can beat and if it makes financial sense. I think he would fight Benavidez and Morrell if the price is right (150-200 million per fight). He knows that if he can potentially lose these fights then he wants to get paid well for it. He and his team knows that his skills have been on the decline for years and he take fights to pad his resume. I would like to see him challenge himself get in the best shape of his life and go after these guys but he won't do it because of his limitations as a fighter. He knows deep down that he could get kayo'd by Morrell and Benavidez.

Canelo is bad for boxing because he has gotten into the business of cherry picking opponents and this hurts boxing as well as the system of starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top to eventually fight the champion. Canelo, Crawford, Spence and many fighters avoid big fights against deserving up and coming challengers.

Morrell and Benavidez got frustrated with waiting for Canelo and moved up to light heavyweight to hopefully fight the champions in that division.

Neither one has a belt , belts are what they're after. Besides that , they want the Canelo payday. If they both hold titles at 175 down the line , I expect that they will be fighting to unify. I don't give a damn about belts , but they're what fighters fight for because with belts come money.

With that said, every boxer does this once they get to the top level. Picking the easiest money fights. I don’t like the fight, and yes Canelo is absolutely, 100% ducking Benavidez. But he paid his dues already. Canelo already fought the guys that his critics and the media said he needed to fight.

Pretty much every fighter, no matter how great they were, have someone, or multiple fighters, that they didn’t fight and critics wanted to see them fight.

It looks like at this point, Benavidez will be that guy. But look at how Benavidez thinks he’s too famous to fight Morrell, and feels like it supposedly means nothing. Benavidez not fighting Morrell is way worse than Canelo not fighting Benavidez. Mainly because Canelo already fought a bunch of boogey men that fans said he would never fight. Benavidez has yet to have 1. His chance is Morrell Jr, just like a Canelo fought GGG, Lara, Trout.
Why in the hell should Benavidez fight Morrell , when he's the Number one contender and MANDATORY for Canelo ? That would be ****** of him to risk that spot. There's no " I paid my dues and can ignore my mandatory contenders rule in boxing " . If you don't fight your mandatory contender you should either make a step aside deal with him or be stripped of the belt. None of that matters anymore because they have finally accepted that Canelo has become a pendejo and have moved on.

People still finding excuses for Canelo remind me of the Cult of a certain Orange political figure. No matter what , no matter the mental gymnastics necessary , they will find a way to stick by the object of their devotion. The Cult leader can never be wrong.

Morrell and Benavidez are both on the same side of the street with PBC. Why haven’t they fought each other?

All of these dudes are doing the same thing they accuse Canelo of. Avoiding the tough matchups.
Think about it , top contenders aren't angling for a fight with another contender , the reason that they are fighting is for a shot at the Champion , the guy with something of value , the Title. A fight with a Top five guy makes sense if you're number ten , but not if you're higher in the rankings than him. I wish that they would all fight , I'm just presenting the logic behind why they don't. As a fan , I want to see great fights between evenly matched fighters , but on the fighters and their managements side of the equation it's different. A fighter is an investment for a manager and a promoter. They want to maximize their profits and that comes from title fights .

That was the first fight he had with DMJ, move forward two more fights, and he gave the okay for the fight to happens, they basically had a gentleman agreement to fight and benavidez backed out. Please be accurate, it doesn't take much nowadays, the same way you went back in time like three years you could have dug out something fresher from a few months ago.
