Loma did that with the KO of Kambo, but he's out for now. Berinchyk has a belt but isn't known. So, that just leaves Shakur, the only one left that can drum up enough interest for a decent payday

Shakur isn't a draw, but his fans fall in the same demographic as Tank's, and that's what sells the fight. The fact that Tank's fans know who Shakur is and what kind of threat he poses puts this fight in the running to clear 500K in buys

    EDIT:
We know how Top Rank treats it's fighters on the outs. Don't buy that crap about people leaving the arena early because the fight was boring. They always do that towards the end so that they don't get stuck in stadium traffic. That event drew over a million in viewership on ESPN
If the fans didn't think the fight was boring, why then were they booing?? Are you implying that had the fight been action packed or Shakur was putting Artem on his butt or trying, those same fans would still have left the arena to avoid stadium traffic?

Eddie spends more time signing fighters that can be used as opponents for Canelo, Haney, and all the 140 star fighters. That’s why he signed Berlanga, Haney. Boots, and Matias, all losers who he thinks is making the suits at DAZN happy.

      Lets check:
Berlanga, Eddie signed him because he knew Canelo was looking for another easy fight. Berlanga is a bust.

Haney, Eddie saw Ryan as the money machine he is and wanted some of that action. He surely got the action part.

Boots, he should have known that Crawford was not interested in fighting Boots. Now Boots is in a division with no big money fights and very weak opponents. But, DAZN will have to dig into there pockets again to pay Boots and fix another Eddie mistake.

Mathis, Eddie saw Mathis as the bogey man at 140. He convinced the suits at DAZN that big fight were coming against Tank, Shakur, Teo, Ryan, and Haney. What he got is another failed signing which has become common for Eddie.

All four boxers named are bleeding red ink for DAZN. Could he possibly be thinking of matching his mistress Skye against Katie? Or is he trying to convince Turkie that a third AJ fight with Usyk could be the charm?

Wow!! Fuqing wow!! I had to read this twice because I thought I wrote this! Outstanding sir! Couldn't have said it better myself!!

Tank isn't fighting Pit Bull and I get the impression he's not too interested in Shakur either.

Shakur fast & defensive but he could get caught by Tank. Make the fight & we will get the answer.

Eddie hasn't made the Christmas list for a couple years now, Oldskool lol, but the only other options are free agency or Top Rank

He'll probably get d*cked in negotiations as a free agent, and Top Rank can't seem to get Loma to fight him. Eddie has the stable (140 mostly, sure), negotiating power, and the ear of his Excellency. Worst thing in the world?

He's a free agent, yet still not getting any offers from PBC. I thought that's what he had in mind.

He has the ear of “his excellency” because he’s a sterling salesman who washes his excellency’s hind end with perfumed oil and rose petals before showing it world class lip based affection. That’s always been the MO. Everyone who isn’t British eventually leaves Hearn because Hearn can’t make the big fights in the usa nor does his platform have the juice to reach the American sports fan base. “His excellency” (such a cringe thing to see non Saudis calling another man that) has basically purchased his own court jester who will follow him around, be his cheerleader, because his excellency is bankrolling dazn for now. “His excellency” doesnt fully understand that Hearn is British and British arnt Americans. If I took a wealthy Jordanian, out him in Saudi, put him in the same garb as the Saudis, the average Westernet wouldn’t be able to tell the difference….but the Saudis could and would.

I think he needs a look good fight first. That should happen the week before/after or on the Tank undercard

I agree, that would definitely help ticket/PPV sales. They might do the fight anyway, but it probably won't do much better than Tank vs. Martin! We already know Zepeda is out the picture! Shakur vs. Schofield would be a goodie, but I'm not sure if Oscar will let that happen?
