He won't go to Canastota, but he will end up in boxing Valhalla
IDK enough about the HOF, so correct me. Chisora wouldn't be a first ballot HOFer, but doesn't 2nd or 3rd ballot exist?

        Joyce’s bone density didn’t save him…

I didn't think that Chisora won , but then I wasn't scoring it. A really fun fight , plenty of action. If they're both going to keep boxing , they should run it back. It will definitely sell. The only thing is that it looked really weird and took some getting used to because they were both so slow. I felt like the video was lagging but it wasn't, they really are that slow. Bizarrely slow.

I don't think it's a ballot, per se. Anyone that has been retired 3 years can make it in if picked by the boxing writers association, but dudes like Chisora don't make it in in this era, it's reserved for only the highest level champs for the most part. For as much as I love Chisora, I would agree he shouldn't sniff the HOF, unless they created some separate spot for pure warriors or something. Dereck is much more Mickey Ward than Arturo Gatti, but pure boxing fans will not forget him and I'd imagine he'll be seen as a hero and man of the people in Great Britain until the end of his days

Idk how anyone thought Joyce was even close to winning. Maybe three rounds at best is being gracious. Joyce has gotten significantly worse, and I don’t think the weight helped him one bit. I also think at Joyce’s age, we don’t see the 80 punches per round anymore. He’ll be a good gatekeeper though for prospects at this stage.

I agree 100%. Joyce is done. He had a decent career with a once solid chin but he was always slow as a sloth.

Chisora earned one more payday with this win but hopefully it's his last. All fighters fade and Derek is slipping with every fight!

It's a winnable fight for both. A sharp Wilder could probably land the same counters as Joyce, but Chisora is a stubborn bastard.

The only thing Chisora is missing...is a world title victory. That's what makes him Micky instead of Arturo.

No one thought they were top contenders, but it was good entertaining fight none the less.
