It's aways a risk to take one too many fights at the advanced age of 41. However, I think one more fight against Chocolatito would be a great way to go out. Win lose or draw. Great career, the kayo over the indestructible Vic Darchinyan was epic. Prime example of a fighter who truly challenged himself vs the best in and around his weight. Loved watching him compete.

Donaire is hustling for a paycheck. His wife Rachael who wears the pants, has been busy trying to find someone for Team Donaire to hustle. Donaire tried his hand at training fighters and his first pupil got KTFO in two rounds.

Now, he like fellow countryman Pacquiao are in the hustling business. Pacquiao’s situation is far worse after he spent years cheating the Philippine government of tax money and got caught. Pacquiao is in dire financial straights.

Robert Garcia is 100% correct. He has seen Donaire’s decline and has said many times that Nonito has no place in the ring again. Garcia has said the KO’s Nonito has been receiving are scary and he must retire and stop putting his life in danger to satisfy his wife’s spending sprees. But, the wife needs more shopping money and is telling Nonito to go out and only call out big names to get the biggest paycheck. What a sad story for both the Filipino’s. Someone in boxing has to stop these fighters before they’re eating out of a straw.

I don't understand why these aging fighters like to fight well past their primes. I used to think it was because of the money but now I am not too sure. I believe that in some of these legends minds they think that they still got it. The longer Donaire prolongs his career he is risking his long-term health and the greater his chances of getting seriously hurt in the ring.

Well said! Nonito Donaire is competing against opponents who are at least an entire generation younger than himself. Which is very sad.

If he can still compete at the top level then why not?

Garcia should tell him straight to his face he's done and refuse to train him - he doesn't need the money either

Donaire's wife is the equivalent of a pimp, she knows full well he's done but she such a greedy shameless scum, she keeps pushing him to fight, even works his corner, SMFH...

Well said. People in boxing know her quite well. She would have no shame getting Nonito killed so she can treat herself to all his money. Her character is exactly like the he Black Widow Spider. She fooks you and then kills you. What a shameful beech.

Let’s start an online petition: SAVE NONITO DONAIRE FROM THE BLACK WIDOW SPIDER, RACHAEL DONAIRE HE HAS AS A WIFE. Robert Garcia, his trainer who refuses to train him for any fight given his vastly declining skills and fear for his safety and well being will be the first to sign.
