Holy crap, thanks for the link

IBF is on a strip tour. Crawford to Usyk to Canelo.. Their way of saying, "it doesn't matter if you're the best in the world, rules are rules"

Reminds me of that coach who benched Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Cup for getting mouthy

Its the fight everyone wants to see fans and pundits alike. Benavidez has been the mandatory for 2 years but Canelo won't even entertain him, but is fighting fighters from one or two divisions below then prices himself out of the fight asking for 150 mil. It smells like a yellow streak to me. You Canelo fans need to wake up to the fact.

I'm not a huge canelo fan but i respect what he has done for boxing, it isn't a fight everyone wants too see, benavidez is made for canelo, sqaure on, crude but determined, he mouthed off and talked his way of a life changing payday, let that be a lesson for other fighters

            Canelo - Mexicans & Americans
Berlanga & Garcia - proud Puerto Ricans
            Lara - 2 Cubans drinking in a pick-up truck
That's just ****** racism, how would you like it if the same was be said about your race?
Chances are the you wouldn't like it at all, so why would you make fun of another race?
Sounds to me like you lack IQ, boxing wise, and humanitarian wise which is even worse!

            • Absolutely terrible from Canelo! Not only is Berlanga a C level fighter he hasn't even sufficiently built his profile to warrant the fight either so it literally makes no sense... At least when Mayweather picked Berto, Berto had shown in previous fights that he wasn't a totally useless fighter. Berlanga is a BUM - Top Rank could see this and couldn't get shot of the guy quick enough!

He hasn't fought at middleweight ever, hasn't fought at all in about 2 years, has only competed above 147 once, and spent the bulk of his career at 140. But the WBA is sanctioning it. Nonsense. The WBO was right to not allow Keith Thurman to fight for Tszyu's belt. And I like Danny, and Erislandy (and Keith).

Boxing is so lame in the way it operates and it's getting even worse. I looked at Danny's fight history and a couple things stood out to me. ONE: when he was the reigning unified WBA, WBC, and Ring light welterweight champ he fought a voluntary against Rod Salka, who wasn't ranked or regarded. There was a lot of blowback and the belts didn't end up being on the line (a catchweight was agreed to). TWO: Danny (I reiterate, Ring champ at 140) fought 3 times above 140 (Salka, Peterson, Malignaggi) before he even got a title shot for the vacant WBC belt (against Guerrero).

Fast forward to this fight. Everything on the Earth is devolving, including boxing. Entropy at work.

All that being said, Erislandy Lara vs Danny Garcia is a fight I'd like to watch. But, I'm not buying this PPV or stealing it.
I don't care for this match-up, but I think it's an exaggeration to compare Canelo/Berlanga to Garcia/Salka. Canelo is not bringing up a nondescript opponent in weight. Salka is the type of fighter that Berlanga would've KO'ed in one round. The catchweight didn't even benefit Salka. Salka was taking a high-risk for no reward because no titles were on the line. Berlanga is a natural SMW with a puncher's chance.

The division is shallow again, just the way he likes it.

                    • Benavidez is going for 175 class because he has been shunned by the famous Mexican. If David beats one of the Russians, he will be one up on Canelo. Bivol vs Beterbiev should be good, Bivol has youth on his side. Good fights coming up.
