It's hard to call a pro boxer a coward but in Canelo's it's hard not to. His the ducking champion in the modern era. His ego has gotten so big his scared to risk it against Benavidez because of he loses his legacy is in jeopardy. Boxing fans are also to blame, why buy the PPV send a message loud and clear this cowardly act will not be acceptable, either fight the best or retire.

He says Puerto Rican boxing surpasses Mexican boxing with Gomez, Trinidad, Cotto, and now Berlanga.
Didn't Gomez get his meatloaf touched up by Salvador Sanchez? Didn't Trinidad get a bit of a gift decision over Oscar? Didn't Cotto get the pink crocs beat out him by Margarito?? yes the same Margarito that stepped to the great Floyd and made him sh...t down his leg?

Bull****. Blacks that know boxing don't give him a pass. He's ducking Boots to try and clean out a sub par 154 lb class. I dont think he has any intention of fighting Canelo. It took him his whole career to fight a real challenge. And after the guy was thrown through a windshield and had to call him to make the fight.

And I wish people stop whining about who Canelo fights. They act like Benavidez has some glorious resume. What's his best win? Canelo is smart. He's making everyone bleed for the fight til they pay him handsomely.

Benavidez is nothing special to me. Just another guy like Boo Boo Andrade that fought average opponents and wants to cash in. He's doing the gutsy thing by betting on himself and fighting the Beterbiev vs Bivol winner. Good for him. Beats waiting around for a payday. Canelo took more risk than both him and Crawford. No one will force him to take a fight.

How is Canelo a coward when his body of work surpasses Benavidez? Benavidez hasn't done **** compared to Canelo but wait for a payday. If he wasn't busy snorting coke and missing weight he could've stopped Canelo from being undisputed at 168.

How is he a coward? The fact that you even need to ask tells me you're one of the zealots. Alvarez has spent two years avoiding his mandatory, lied that he doesn't want to fight Mexicans, then fought another Mexican, and has generally done everything in his power to avoid fighting the number one contender in the division. THAT, is why he's a coward.

His best win at SMW is Plant. Who also happens to be Alvarez' best win at SMW, too.

Really underwhelming fight tbh. Even with the Mexico/Puerto Rico angle it probably wont do well. Its going head to head with a UFC PPV at The Sphere too.
