If Benavidez had not lost the belts, Canelo never would have fought him. Benavidez is the reason Canelo got to beat crap "champions", unify and now to sit on the belts ducking all real comp, getting his ass beat by Bivol.

The reason he doesn't have a great legacy fight is because Canelo robbed him of it, otherwise he would have had it when he was 26 last year. Boxing is a business? Yes exactly. Boxing is a tough dangerous sport, David worked so hard , and Canelo has robbed David not only of money but the biggest legacy fight he will likely ever have. Lewis Bowe is a big one often mentioned but that fight was not the biggest most demanded fight in boxing at the time, while this was. Money, was no issue, it had huge demand, it had everything, and he DUCKED.
