Cool story, glasshouse. Remember when canelo missed weight twice and also failed a vada test? Don’t condone his puss behavior. Pretend you have dignity ya muppet.

Cracks me up how the WBC pressured David to make a decision but never pressured Canelo to make one...

“It’s been too much hype from the public and media who do not understand the sport of boxing,” Sulaiman told BoxingScene on Wednesday. “We are not promoters who make fights. We administer the championships.”

I think the fans understand boxing all too well. Parasitic scum bags like Sulaiman enable this behavior in boxing and allow champions to pick and choose opponents like it is a buffet. Sulaiman only cares about getting his cut of the pie.

Say what you want about the IBF and their terrible rankings but at least they stick to their own rules, whether it be for better or worse.

If Benavidez had not lost the belts, Canelo never would have fought him. Benavidez is the reason Canelo got to beat crap "champions", unify and now to sit on the belts ducking all real comp, getting his ass beat by Bivol.

If not for David losing the belts, Canelo would have collected one belt and then tried to move up after pulling a Cruiser down to 170. Or he would have cherrypicked a few weak Light Heavy's and claimed himself a living legend.

in all honesty, Canelo should be kissing David's ass for losing the belts. Without it Canelo is far more of a joke than he is right now.

And I can hear Canelo fans. "You cant know Canelo wouldnt have fought him". I can say this with no doubt. Canelo has never wanted to fight Benavidez. Ever.

This is not just plain wrong but evil and a bad display of sportsmanship by Canelo Alvarez. David Benavidez has earned his spot so fight the man. He is depriving the man from earning a living to feed his family. Had the roles have been reversed; Then Canelo Alvarez would have felt the same way as us boxing fans and David Benavidez too about how he was being ducked and avoided by the undisputed champion of the world.

Yes exactly. Boxing is a tough dangerous sport, David worked so hard , and Canelo has robbed David not only of money but the biggest legacy fight he will likely ever have. That is unforgivable scum behaviour. This is the biggest duck in boxing history imo. Lewis Bowe is a big one often mentioned but that fight was not the biggest most demanded fight in boxing at the time, while this was. Money, was no issue, it had huge demand, it had everything, and he DUCKED.

It's nice to see a fighter not depending on another fighter.

Benavidez. He is entering his late 20s. Has ZERO legacy fights. Canelo can do as he pleases for reasons that are his own. The pretense by those opining that Canelo is ducking Benavidez is just gossip. Boxing is a business, a very harsh business with a short shelf-life to make large amounts of cash and restricted to the few. Canelo doesn't owe anything to Benavidez. If Caneo wanted to beat the snot out of DB, he could have done so years ago and just picked-off DB, similar to the methods employed by Mayweather.

Benavidez will crash and burn at LH. Either Bivol or Beterbiev will crush him. But, Benavidez will have gotten his money fight. There is nothing exciting about Benavidez. With Plant as a measure; the so called Monster couldn't put Plant down. Bivol couldn't KO Canelo - if he is DB's opponent, Bivol will flatten Benavidez. Beterbiev, even more so will destroy DB.
