I wouldn't be surprised if Zhang drops Joshua. But he needs to figure out how to get the finish if he doesn't do it in one punch. If they keep getting back up, as Parker did, he's going to gas and finish. I keep saying it, but he's got underrated skill. He's very hard to hit clean. When was the last time you saw him close to being stopped by an opponent, as opposed to gassing himself out or nearly killing himself with dehydration? Joshua I think is the only fighter to ever drop him, and Zhang is IMO better and cleaner. I don't know that he can win, but I wouldn't count him out until it gets into the second half. I think it would definitely be a good test for both fighters, and a good fight for Zhang if he for some reason can't get a Parker rematch.

Zhnag has only just arrived at the top table so not sure how AJ is avoiding him.

Zhang is a dangerous fighter for AJ. He looks smart and hits very hard. I think AJ could just stay on the outside and win though. Zhang is 58 now and will get tired after 7 rounds.

Worth remembering Dubois beat Hrgovic up while Zhang went life and death with him and lost. Zhang also lost to Parker. Got to earn your fight.

He isnt a guy most people would be particularly eager to face. Big southpaw with serious game changer power. Then add to that hes 41 years old too and not a big payday type fight. The risk/reward of fighting him isnt great at all. I would hardly say AJ is ducking him though, not any more than Fury or Usyk are.

lmfao that's like saying Amir Khan is levels above Kell brook. AJ is fragile just like Khan

based on him beating that MMA amateur, he's going back to the moon according to these smooth brain pole smokers.

he's 1 punch away from losing to any of them

he's not levels above anyone with his chin

Joshua is not holding the Zhang shots that dropped Parker.

            His chin is fragile.

Yeah, something is fragile in there, and he's been knocked out before, so that isn't going to help. I would definitely watch it, anyways, especially the first 6 or so rounds while Zhang is still dangerous. That man seriously needs to work on his gas tank.

i doubt he can at this point.

however he has naturally very quick hands and he's got the reach. in order to land on him he will land on you.

he was bascially in a fencing match with Wilder there. he didn't impose his size. his hands were as fast as Wilder's and clearly much harder.

But what makes you think that though? Zhang has lost to Hgorvic, who Dubois destroyed, and was beaten by Parker as well. Yes he has power, but his feet are slow as hell, his stamina is poor and he’s in his 40s..

Are you basing your opinion on him flattening Wilder, who had already lost every single round to a guy that has beaten Zhang? Please explain because you’re making no sense.

Anyone can if they work on it. I've seen it personally in the gym. It's a matter of how and what you work on. But at this point, it's not a matter of "do it for this camp". He's got to really put in the time NOW to work on that flaw while he's waiting for a fight, and go into the camp having trained specifically to increase his stamina. If he can't bring himself to put in that work, I doubt he ever brings home the full title, no matter who ends up holding it.

What makes you think that? Parker got broken down by Joyce and was getting dropped by punches in his loss to Whyte that AJ took flush. Did you see that left hook Whyte landed on AJ in the 2nd round of their fight, a hook which almost killed Chisora and flattened Povetkin?

All this talk about AJ’s chin being fragile is so exaggerated and makes no sense. Apart from Ruiz, only W Klitschko has dropped him after AJ punched himself out. He has been in with other world class punchers like Povetkin and Whyte, and took all the punishment from Usyk, who TKO’d Dubois and arguably did the same with Fury had it been called by the ref correctly.

If anything, AJ has a better chin than Parker and not vice versa, given how many times Parker has been dropped by the likes of Chisora, Whyte, Zhang, Joyce and maybe others I’m forgetting.
