I don’t get the yellow reference but good on Bradley for calling out Canelos bull****. This gonna put a fair dent in Canelos legacy if he don’t take the David fight.

Dude don't you read? This information has been reported on by most boxing sites. Bradley and Malginaggi are the farthest thing from being objective and of each is two brain cells away from a dim bulb. One was a thug in highschool and a dropout and the other was a dishwasher before taking up boxing. I will let you figure out which is which.Comment

Exhibitions are not counted as real boxing matches, nor are they sold to the public as such. This so-called sport is called prize fighting for a reason. It is all about the money and always has been. The main difference is that in the past the managers and promoters pocketed most of the money. In this era, boxers who generate millions of dollars have lawyers, financial advisors, and such so they keep most of the money. This is the Mayweather playbook and in my view, it is not a bad thing. It is simply good business.Your comparison with Jcc are weak and in the context of “history” not the same. The Pearson fight took place in Mexico about a MONTH and a half after the Camacho bout…OBVIOUS exhibition for the hometown fans. Same for the Addo fight - THREE months after the war He had with Taylor and in SPAIN! Pro fight yes..but another OBVIOUS exhibition bout nobody considered a real fight. Canelo is now cherry-picking average fighters who are represent no real challenge or threat…and getting paid ppv millions. If Canelo is this great Mexican warrior who fights on great Mexican historical dates..He should be taking on the best challenges and give the fans memorable fights. Jcc would have never ducked Benavidez..especially with all the fans and critics calling him out!!Comment

Right that is why Benavidez has been calling out Beterbiev at every opportunity!”Daring to be great” would have been challenging Beterbiev! Canelo and his team underestimated Bivol and embarrassingly payed for it. “Daring to be great “ would have been taking the challenge of the rematch with Bivol like He said he wanted and was going to do. Canelo does not want to take any fight where he is not the clear favorite in.Comment

Do you know of any other fighter who was 5'8 and became champion at 175?”Daring to be great” would have been challenging Beterbiev! Canelo has literally achieved all he could. There are only 3 types of fights Canelo will take now that he's rich and famous:
a) fights that enhance his legacy
b) fights that make a lot of money
c) fights that are fairly easy nights at the office
Benavidez is none of these, but if he fights and beats Bivol like he says he can, then he has something to offer.
That's all there is to it.

Canelo will fight Benavidez. Just not now. I believe he will do it at his preferred time when it suits him. Just look at the list of opponents around, who else will be left for him to fight?Comment
