Sometimes I don't show all my cards, but I thought ggg beat nelo, in 1 st fight and draw 2nd fight.
But I accept its a great win, in same way like srl beating hagler was, even though some think srl.lost.
And even though ggg not prime too maybe, just like hagler wasnt. But still ggg would've best everyone else, just like hagler wouldveLast edited by garfios; 07-15-2024, 04:20 PM.Comment

No, but Alvarez was clearly a different fighter with Jacobs than he was with Bivol, IMO a superior one in many ways. A lot of people like to say he's always been the same but I don't see that with Canelo. He used to have some legit technique. He still does, it's just hidden behind a sheath of laziness and age.Last edited by Joseph; 07-15-2024, 07:01 PM.Comment

He is the same fighter than he has always been, the only different thing back then, he was fighting jacobs not bivol. Actually he's wiser now and finish stronger than before. You take jacobs out that fight and insert bivol, and canelo would look different this ain't a video game that you can change $h1t, or you can find a backdoor for you to go to another level. Why do you think he never face another technician like Lara? Until he got the cherry wrong and fought bivol.Comment

I’d say GGG 2 until Bivol. I think he was able to put it all together after tough fights with GGG, Mayweather, Cotto, Trout, Lara. He learned a lot from those fights. Then went on a dominant run against solid competition (Smith, Jacobs, BJS, Kovalev, Plant) became undisputed but then lost to Bivol. I don’t think he has had the same desire since that fight. Couple that with age, injuries etc and I’d say mentally and physically he is not at his peak anymore.Comment

Hagler was in his prime, he lost the fight when he exchanged money for rounds. The fact of the matter is that he waited him out, he(ggg) didn't look like a world beater in his previous fight against jacobs and he thought he was in decline, which he was but not bad enough for canelo's skill set.Comment
