He was the one wanting to fight CW. He thought because he beat a drunken past his prime kovalev he could do the same to others. Then his grandeur dreams came crashing down thanks to bivol, still he tried to bring jack down to 180? And no, he was as prime as bivol, you guys didn't gave a chance nor the casinos to bivol. He was in his prime and for the first time in years fought a good boxer.Last edited by garfios; 07-16-2024, 10:20 AM.Comment

Only few of us gave him a good chance. Both were in their prime, just because canelo lost, it doesn't mean he was past his best, all his groupies fanatics came out with excuses, past his prime been one of the many, he beat him so throughly that not only he refused the rematch, he is ducking abyone with a pulse.Comment

What is prime, fans talk like its a switch, in reality the elite fighters compete in the 90% ratio for pretty much all of their career with arise in the middle to around 95% and slight fall off in the end closer to 90% , Im talking averages here not somebody like Roy Jones that hangs around for ever, boxing is a speed/timing sport, a very small drop in either and the result is a loss instead of a win, the whole prime notion fans have is twisted and used to bolster their own personal agenda more so than actually analyzing performances other than winning and losing, if a guy loses they quick to say he wasn't prime which is so flawed.Only few of us gave him a good chance. Yeah, I think we're more or less agreeing about the basic principles but disagreeing on the hypotheticals, which frankly I usually avoid discussing because I don't care, and so I don't really know why I keep replying because the Bivol fight happened and any further fight probably won't happen and so it's a waste of time. Maybe I've just enjoyed the candor.
