Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Jr. suggests Brian Norman Jr. at welterweight is next

Please say it ain’t so Lopez! I think it’s bad career move for him.Teofimo should consider staying at 140 or moving back down to 135. It’s because he is an undersized Junior welterweight with very little to no punching power moving up to the 147 lbs division in order to be competitive.

I respect your candor on the subject, but I remember Teo losing his mind on the lead up to his fight with Loma.
His wife had left him apparently because he's so off the wall, then he was crying in a interview prior to their fight, about it never being enough for his father.
In reference to his accomplishments, when did his father accomplish anything of note, except living vicariously through his sons accomplishments?
As far as Shakur goes if I was a professional fighter, I wouldn't want to fight Shakur either, because he has that mousey style, and your going to look worse than anything he actually does to you.
Teofimo is on his way out, that's why he's fighting guys like Claggett, while calling for guys like Crawford.
If Norman gets a hold of him that Crawford call out is going to become nil, and void. because Norman will really bust him up, stopping him before it's over.Last edited by Boricua181; 07-15-2024, 06:25 AM.

Teofimo Beat loma. Then waits damn near a year after 2 postponements for a kambosos fight that he loss.
He then beats Taylor for the lineal title at 140 and turns down a February fight against Ryan garcia. He has passed on Ryan and Devin since beating Lomachenko
Teo is the reason Teo career is stagnant

I would never put Shakur on the level of Mayweather and Sweet Pea, but he has the potential to get there! I understand risk, but let's take a look. Pitbull swerved a chance to beat Shakur for the WBC title. He chose Giovanni Cabrera instead, and went the distance. He still looked bad, and for less reward! Zepeda swerved a chance to beat Shakur for the WBC title, to fight Gesta, Hughes, and Cabrera. He's has looked very good, but still has no title! On top of that, Oscar called out Shakur after the Hughes fight, only to ghost the phone call from Arum! That's some goofy ish right there! Teo talked big ish about Shakur, then fights Jamaine Ortiz! He still looked bad, and for less reward! He then follows up with Claggett! So my point is, if you're gonna swerve, at least make it make sense! Frank Martin swerved Shakur, and I criticized Shakur, because Shakur swerved Haney because of the 25% offer, which is a low-ball, then turned around and made the exact same offer to Martin! However, Martin got the Tank fight instead! That's what i'm talking about! You don't turn down a fight, for a worse opponent, especially one without a title! I think Shakur vs. Zepoeda is ready for a PPV fight TOMORROW! That's NOT the case with Berinchyk! However, if Zepeda goes after Berinchyk, at least it's for the WBO title! I wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be mad at him! I feel like I have to defend Shakur more than I'm a fan of Shakur! (Maybe you feel that way for Berlanga?) Brick City is NYC's backyard, he's Black and Puerto Rican just like my Daughter, so he's like family! However, he's like that Nephew that you feel you MUST protect, out of love for his Mother, but you really don't want to! I kinda wish his Grandpa would've slapped fire out of him on national TV! Lol!

Dude has the weirdest career. He got one great win over Lomachenko. It's a great win but a barely won kind of win.
Fought a Josh Taylor who was infrequently active, definitely not the same as the guy who won the super 6. Good win but also another potential caveat kind of win.
Jumps weight classes without any real legacy.
I think weltwerweight he's going to hit the wall hard. It's going to be a big time pulling the sheets off him if he decides that.
Despite those two wins, his career is kind of lackluster/ un-noteworthy.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.
