He didn't want to fight either one @ 140, so I have little faith he'll change his mind @ 147? Norman Jr. is being chosen because Teo doesn't want any parts of Boots or Stanionis, and Barrios will be fighting Pacquiao.

Teofimo is an attention whore. He'll definitely want to insert himself in the Haney/Garcia drama by facing one of them. He needs a title to increase his value. He (and TR for that matter) won't want to work with MR, so Norman is really the only WW option. I can't criticize Teofimo if he decides to face Norman.

No he didn't want to fight either fighter then, and he wants even less to do with them now!

I remember you being sky high on Teofimo not so long ago, now not so much.
It seems like you have traded in your Teofimo boxing card, for a Shakur Stevenson boxing card.

Teofimo would be a superstar right now had he done what Bob wanted him to do.

Teofimo Beat loma. Then waits damn near a year after 2 postponements for a kambosos fight that he loss.

He then beats Taylor for the lineal title at 140 and turns down a February fight against Ryan garcia. He has passed on Ryan and Devin since beating Lomachenko

Teo is the reason Teo career is stagnant

This is an old story. It is misleading how they serve it up as something new.

Not sure if Norman Jr is the right choice
I think he loses that fight outright

Damn, what is it with this kid always choosing fighters no one knows about. That are too risky? He never gets credit for taking such risky fights yet everyone admires tank for taking such consecutively SOFT choices.

Teo's career may have lost a little steam after the Taylor fight, but he's still very much in the mix to fight a list of elite name fighters. It does matter if they want to fight him though, and if all of these guys can agree on money (which seems to be the most consistent roadblock). If I were betting, I'd have a hard time picking Teo to beat Norman Jr (if it happens at all), but I don't think Lopez is just dropping names. I think he would have faced Crawford at WW, so he's not looking at Norman as someone out of his league.
Why? McWater/Split-T are morons, this kid beats Loma also beats Taylor and now he's back fighting in a hotel in Miami against a no name, and now against Norman? If he had the right people he would be fighting Tank, Ryan, Haney all multi million dollar paydays instead he's going in reverse...

What makes you think he doesn’t want to fight them?
Teofimo is a dog and everyone knows that.

Top Rank prefers doing in-house fights rather than split promotions so it makes sense why he’s gunning after Brian Norman jr.

Teo beat Loma, and lost his mind, and that’s where he lost me! He had opportunities to face Haney, Garcia, and Shakur, yet he chose the likes of Steve Claggett! I became a Shakur fan, only because I heard too many fighters make excuses for NOT fighting him, Teo being one of them!
