I just don't understand why Boots signed with matchroom? How the heck is he going to become a four-division champ there?

He'd have to fight someone first and get his dad to stop turning down fights. And he just signed with Hearn.

A VERY talented fighter, the only thing that worries me is his lack of lateral movement, same thing that doomed Broner. I don't like that Boot's is relying more on brute strength to overcome an opponents offense, a bigger puncher with timing will stop him, but Eddie isn't going to put him in harms away immediately

“I like how Eddie Hearn moves his fighters. I like the things he does and the way he treats his guys"

eddie likes cash cows, he gets them mooing alrite making lots of milk but hes not so hot in creating an american cash cow, until now that is, this is the perfect opportunity to put this right

Bingo. Echoes my thoughts. Alot of obvious talent but Boots was brought up super slow for a reason. He looked great against D level guys. Villa and Karen, B level guys, gave him issues. He took alot of clean shots from Villa. Crawford would stop him, barring Crawford aging overnight.

If Ennis was the next huge name, he and his team would have found ways to make the big fights. Instead he has been carefully brought up to the point where he is about to turn 28 and will have fought no one and he has been emailed a belt. He straight up ducked Bud and then tried to say Bud ducked him.

There is talent there, and I hope he turns into a star for the sake of the sport. But his career has been incredibly carefully guided and he barely fights. No smoke is appropriate. Hopefully that changes, but at Matchroom, I can see him hitting 30 years old with no big names.
