Boxing is a symbiotic business. Hearn has always said he admires Arum because you could burn his house down and he'd still do business with you. A promoter understands that they are nothing without the boxer. As much as the fighters disrespect Floyd, they also idolize him and Floyd knows this. The issue is that Mayweather Promotions doesn't have a long track record like other promotional companies, so Floyd can only rely on his personal success to entice potential applicants. Floyd can't seem to translate that hero-worship into signatures. Davis is really his only proof of concept, so it looks especially bad when they have their public arguments. He now has a chance to replicate Tank's success with young Curmel Moton.

I guess you weren’t around after his Olympics run in 2016. Shakur could’ve signed with Floyd back then too, but he let other voices get in his head and went to TR. Floyd embarrassed himself trying to recruit him back then and it was all for nothing, Floyd should just return the favor now. There have been countless of debates on here about Shakur possibly being better and greater than Floyd after he won his first title. Shakur himself have stated that he’s much more defensive minded and wiser at his age than Floyd ever was. He puts a lot of pressure on himself by drawing that comparison and whenever reality hits and he underperforms, he turns on everyone. He’s definitely not mentally as strong as Floyd is, that’s for damn sure.

I would like to see credible Ryan/ Haney numbers to gauge what Ryan brings. Where are you getting 600k from?
