Shakur has shown how he responds to being hit, people just don’t pay attention. Whenever he gets hit clean whether to the body or head, he either runs or immediately clinches. De Los Santos caught him with a clean jab/hook in round 1 and that is the reason he fought the way he fought. The African guy caught him and he completely ran around the ring. I’m telling you, This is an easier fight for Tank than Frank Martin because he can completely disrespect his power. Whenever Tank hits Shakur he will feel the power and be on the back foot the whole night until he gets KO’d.
How much does Shakur deserve in a Tank fight on a PBC card?

All this comments about money being offered by TR is nonsense if you can't have an estimate of what he deserves in a TDavis fight.
TR is offering him 5 fights for $3 million guarantee each. (I doubt broadcasters are making a killing on PPV these days, so talk of upsides are basically immaterial.)
So what's your guess? Why talk about he's being lowballed when you can't even make any estimate of what PBC is willing to offer him.
PBC fans say what TR is giving is a lowball offer. Well, I'd like to know what PBC is offering, if there is one at all.Comment

Stevenson is too light in the ass to stand up to Tank's power. He'll curl up like a shrimp in boiling water from the first big shot Tank lands.Comment

70/30 in Tank's favor, and that's being generous. Shakur turned down 25% from Haney, and now a $15M deal from Top Rank. There are maybe three fighters he can earn enough to make it worth turning down TR offer; Tank, Loma and Teo. Outside of those three, Shakur will need at least five or more fights to earn $15M+.
Boxers should know what their market value is and ask for money they deserve INDEPENDENT OF what the opponent would make in the fight. But that's just me.

The real question one should ask: What tools does Shakur have to prevent Tank from doing what he did to Martin? Shakur might be better defensively, may fight differently, but to date? only one fighter has really stopped Tank and backed him up... And that was Cruz.
Tank can literally say to himself " Im losing rounds so I am going to go punch for punch with Shakur" and what could Shakur do at that point?
Thats the way I see it, maybe Shakur would suprise me...Comment

Split percentages don't make much sense to me, especially in this day and age of abysmal PPV numbers. And in that sense splits should only apply to PPV upsides nothing else.

Great fighters like Ray Leonard, Camacho and Pernell Whitaker used defensive tactics as offense. Not the same as just being evasive. Levels to the game. Both Haney and Shakur have to use their developing man strength to sit down on some of their shots.Comment
