I’ll just list his elite opponents regardless of outcome: FMJ Cotto Shane Mosley Austin trout(he was undefeated at the time they fought) Lara GGG Kovalev BJS Plant(a bit of a stretch to call him elite but he’s top tier, BJS too), Bivol, jermell charlo. So objectively, Canelo has faced 8 current or future HOFamers. GGG faced ONE HIS ENTIRE CAREER. and didn’t even get a win lmao. Stop drinking the kool aid and read the writing on the wall

I doubt it. Jacobs has dropped off massively but he's still well above Mosley.

He's always had the skill and power to hold a title and give anyone a tough night. Very good fighter in any era.

I'm not saying Mosley wins. He is very limited and basic. However, Jacobs looked bad and unmotivated against Rosado and not much better against Ryder (although I thought he probably deserved the win). Those fights were his last and were years ago.

You just don't know what to expect when a veteran fighter is coming back from a long layoff and after looking very regular.

Yeah, that's a fair point. I still see a tentative old Jacobs winning a decision but his inactivity and his decline has been sharp. Always a shame to see.
