DLT made many valid aguements in his original post but everybody only jumped on the lifestyle part. What about the rest? The rest was spot on. Also the idea that Floyd is so difficult to negotiate with is strange to me. I dont recall too many snags in any of his mega fights and they were all made fairly quickly. Thats all.
    you're exactly right.....

i even recall, before floyd came back, or it could've been right after he announced his return, it was arum who was saying pac gets 65%, no matter who he fights next.....that was arum saying that bull****....

that can't and won't be a basis alone, b/c floyd hasn't fought cotto, so there's no way to compare the numbers for cotto-pacman. however, if this fight does under 1 million, which it most likely will, all that would do is give floyd more fuel for 60-40.....

I have 2 things to say!

1)Cost of living in the U.S is 100 times more expensive than the philippines. Gov't is corrupt as **** over there! Pacquiao is a god over there. The IRS is eating everyone in US alive especially mayweather. The guy had to cough up 5mill in taxes. You think PACMAN has too? Hell no! That's why he's training in the phil so he doesn't have to pay taxes in america. Your only allowed to stay a certain amount of months in the US if your not a citizen.

        2) You can't compare the numbers that mayweather/marquez did to what pacquiao/ cotto's gonna do. Everyone knows mayweather/marquez did awesome and would have twice as good if there wasn't a UFC event on the same damn day. If there was no RICH FRANKLIN fight the same day as mayweather then the ppv buys woulda been tremendous for mayweather.!

Pac could live like a king for the rest of his life in Manilla for 500,000. He dont even need nearly the money that Floyd does to live in Vegas. Stack the PPV numbers side by side and Floyd kills him. I know one thing, if Pac dont do a mil vs Cotto then its a done deal to me because everyone clowned the Floyd-JMM fight and said it would bomb while everyone is acting like Pac-Cotto is the best fight since slice bread. If Floyd out sells him then how can you argue that he shouldnt get that much? You act like Floyd is a chump who hasnt done anything. He'll walk for something less and I would to. Im not going to get played by Arum or Roach. Thats what fools like Mayorga and them do. Real cats get there money or tell them to **** off.

Its not like Floyd is being greedy. He just wants what he's worth and that is easily fair market value. Look how Oscar was raping cats when he was the man and Floyd is doing Oscar numbers right now. The bad thing for Floyd is that everyone hates him and Arum knows it. Thats why he's saying this now because he knows that no matter what, the public will blame Floyd for the fight not happening but Floyd isnt dumb enough to fall for that and despite what Arum says, I dont think Pac is that dumb either. He wants that big money fight and its nothing to him to take less because he knows he's retiring afterwards and he would make millions
So Floyd should get paid due to his life style, go figure?!.... What a dumbass post.

Arum went from 65% to 50% and Mayweather vs. Marquez didn't even happen yet. Arum does know what kind of a draw Mayweather is, now that Marquez vs. Mayweather did 1mill+, Arum understands that Fire Power would have to do 1mill+; only way Mayweather will accept a 50/50.

                Manny P.-Mayweather

I should think that far more fight fans would be interested in seeing MannyP. rather than Mayweather.

Manny always makes sure to give the fans what they come for, and exciting action packed fight, whereas Mayweather makes sure to give himself what he wants, that is, safety.

If this fight were to ever happen I'd be willing to say that about 80% of the PPV buys would be from Philipino households and 90% of the fans at the actual event would be of Philipino decent. So does floyd really deserve the better share of the pie??? I sure as hell would not think so.

Cotto/Pacquiao doesn't prove much in regard to Pacquiao'a drawing power because Cotto is also a big name that brings a lot to the table. Far bigger than Marquez so this this fight should easily do a million ppvs.

50/50 or pac/floyd won't happen... that's all there is to it.
