        Ridiculous.
You have to look at it from a business point of view. Can Pac make more money negotiating 2 fights with people who are easier to deal with, or stretching out negotiations with Floyd for 6 months without any guarantee he will ever come to any sort of reasonable deal?

Bull****!! If the economy continues to worsen which it will both of these fighters will fight for the dam payday and they are set. This fight will happen!! It can make historic PPV #'s thats the truth BUT and this is a big ass BUT, this fight would not live up to the hype, Im 100% positive it would not. Just like my bud ODLH's fights. There is plenty of fights that can involve these two without each other that would be a dramatic improvement to the sport.

Just the fact that he considered someone like Chavez Jr. a potential opponent for Pac means he doesn't care what fans want to see as long as he doesn't have to split promotional fees with another promoter. If Pac gets passed Cotto, especially in convincing fashion, then a Pac-Mayweather fight would be too big to ignore. The only thing bigger may be Floyd's ego or Arum's greed. But big fights like this are too hard to scrap. The Pac-Hatton fight also had difficulties in negotiating the split, but it happened because the fight was just too profitable for everyone and the fans were really itching for that fight.
Why do people continue to talk about Arum's "greed"?? I don't see greed, I see a hugely successful lawyer-turned-business-man who's doing what he does best.

That is, signing, protecting and enriching those under his banner. He did it with Oscar, and Mayweather, and, .....[I'm not going to be ****** enough to waste my time searching for old, obscure news reports] I'm sure, many others. They've watched him, studied his methods and, as we know, tried to emulate them. It's often said that Oscar is practically a billionaire, and I've heard him myself say, that this is his main ambition.

Arum has brought Manny along very nicely, as well as Cotto, who, at comparatively early ages, have earned and (probably) will keep, multi-millions.

And.....he is showing his respect for the fight fans in arranging a fight with his 2 top stars. It doesn't really matter who wins, they can each walk away with anything from $20-$40 millions, maybe more, and never put on a glove again. Not only that, but their children, their children's children, for who-knows how many generations, will be able to benefit all because Bob Arum saw the talent in these guys, and made sure that HE was the one who could best develop it.

Oscar tried to "horn in" on Manny P by playing that old Don King line, and got the exhausted, ignorant poor simp. at the airport, straight off a 16 hour journey, to sign something. But, when Manny got away from Oscar, he deliberately re-signed with Arum and put his future in Bob Arum's hands.

I'm pretty certain, that Manny says a prayer for Arum every night.

If he doesn't........he damned well SHOULD.

It'll happen. Floyd came back to fight in a huge mega fight and to reclaim his P4P throne. He ain't gonna do either without Manny. The PPV numbers for Pac/Cotto should do more than PBF/JMM, so I think a 50/50 split is imminent regardless of what anyone says.

50/50 or the fight doesn't happen.

I also think pac/pbf won't live up to hype... basically because pbf will not engage

Will be tough negotiations for sure. Just seems like a lot of money to leave sitting there.

The fight is not necessary for Pacquiao much more if gayweather want a bigger share of the purse. Pacquiao does not need Mayweather in his career at this point in time, hence, why give in to his hallucination. Gayweather need pacquiao for his comeback, why he is demanding a bigger share? He is just avoiding the fight because Pacquiao is the only guy who can beat him or even knock him out. Pacquiao can make an exit in boxing even without a Gayweather fight. Gayweather is much better to get involved in MMA because he likes to wrestle. In MMA, he can wrestle any kind of wrestle he want with his panty on. There in MMA where he belong.

That's what I've been saying... and at the end of the day when Pac does engage he gets outclassed, countered and beaten by the bigger, better, faster, stronger guy in Mayweather. This will become ever more clear when PAC attempts to beat Cotto. "there is a reason why we have weight classes".....
