Canelo fighting Eubank Jr is even more laughable than him fighting Berlanga.

Ok so I see you list former champions at lower weights as good wins so I stand corrected on that one because that's fair.

But Berlanga, would be a good legit win for Canelo, right?

Just because I list those fights on their resumes doesn't mean I consider them all good wins, and just being on the list doesn't make the names equal to each other. It's just a list that covers two standards: ranked fighters and fighters that won a major title at some point. Nothing more, nothing less. It's up to the reader to understand the context behind each fight (or not, I don't particularly care).

So were I to make such a list for Canelo, I'd list Berlanga on it (assuming he fights and beats him). Just like it would have some weaker "champions" like Miguel Vazquez or Kermit Cintron. And normal people would see that and understand that just because it's worth listing those names doesn't mean they're necessarily equivalent to the wins over Danny Jacobs or Caleb Plant.

The lists are just lists of fighters that accomplished something in their careers. The names that stand out above the riffraff of journeymen and one-off mandatories nobody ever heard from again. So Berlanga would make the list because he's at least ranked, and Vazquez makes the list because he won a title in his career. But a guy like William Scull would not, because he's not notable for any reason other than being another guy the IBF dug up out of nowhere.

It's a very simple question I don't know why you're refusing to answer it. Would Belanga be a good, legit win for Canelo or not?

You're here backtracking about rankings but you're the same guy who lists RAY BELTRAN as a "great win" because he was ranked #1 So you should probably make your mind up. You've already said if a fighter is ranked in the top 10 they're a legit win for the likes of Inoue's weaker wins, but then on the same token call Whyte and Hrgovic "total bums" and not legit despite being in the Top 5.

So I'd suggest you pick one and stay consistent.

I'm more interested in the business side of this match-up than the fight itself, such as the location/venue and the network/promoter that's willing to pay for this.

I just can't understand why Canelo vs David Benavidez isn't happening.

My least favorite part about Boxing is fights the fans want that don't happen.

Just when I taught I didn't want to watch Alvarez fight Jermall Charlo and Edgar Berlanga. He manages to pick an even worse match up.

I prefer either of those fighters over a declined Eubank Jr who is coming off brutal loss and a win to a light middleweight in Liam Smith.

Heck give Janibek or Adames a chance. Not this, after coming off a streak of performances against a heavily declined GGG, Ryder, light middleweight Jermell Charlo and Munguia who had two fights in the division.
