Also worth a mention. I have seen people saying that Garcia only tested for a millionth of a gram of Ostarine because he was coming off it. Here is an article showing that Garcia tested negative for anything a month before the fight, strict Vada testing.

    https://www.essentiallysports.com/bo...n-haney-fight/

If he was using PED's to gain an advantage, it would have shown up in this test. What showed up instead was a millionth of a gram.....if the tests weren't tampered with, which I am honestly unsure about.....this is consistent with Garcia unknowingly ingesting a tiny amount via contaminated supplements. And there is no advantage at all at that level. None.

Some of us knew what we were looking at the whole time.

Haney just isn’t that good, plain and simple.
Word. I watched Loma beat him from pillar to post. He was a confused little boy in the corner.

The haneys are pathetic asking DAZN to take the fight off their playlist. Never seen anything like that

In Devin Haney's last 4 fights he exploded from 135 & 140lbs. to an astounding 160-165lbs. within 24 hours. Devin gained 1 pound per hour and blew up to 165lbs. to fight Regis Prograis....That's 4 lbs. over the California Athletic Commission's legal limit and nobody even mentions it. In comparison, Errol Spence and Terrance Crawford were considered my many to weigh 160lbs on fight night, which means Devin Haney would have outweighed both of them.

If losing 10lbs in water over time = severe dehydration and 15lbs is the point of diminishing returns ...25lbs in 24 hours would seem to be impossible without some type of aid like blood doping and intravenous re-hydration.

I realize this is all circumstantial but at some point, you can only conclude that it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....because it is a duck.

They thought the fight would be easy money and an easy W.

When Garcia came in over, they just squeezed a little more money out of him because they saw it as further evidence that their opponent was unprepared.

Garcia popped positive and deserves whatever punishment meted out to him by the commission. The fight should be a No Contest. Haney, as a lifelong "A-side", has enjoyed all the advantages against his opponents throughout his career. He has Conte cooking up performance enhancement while tiptoeing the lines of legality.

Boxing is a vicious dirty sport and I don't condone Garcia's behavior but I have difficulty seeing Haney as pure victim when I look through his lens.
Phenomenal post, I hope it encourages people to do some honest, unbiased research. I've read about Victor Conte and yes, some of my favorite fighters are working with him and I wish they didn't. I'm astonished that Victor is allowed to act unchallenged, in an authoritative manor and at the same time continue to be the most detrimental cheat in Boxing .

those over boxing need to do a better job at making sure fighters are fighting in their proper divison, the fighters make weight as they are required and then take advantage of rehydrating, not just haney but many of them. but none of this really has anything to do with ryan lying and popping dirty for a banned substance, im not sure why fans use haneys weight as a rebuttal to ryans cheating.

So if we're gonna pretend let's say Mosley never beat Oscar, Roy Jones wins are all tainted and Toneys wins are all suspect now too all guys who notoriously used hard-core roids unlike Ryan who was due to contamination.

Reason being, there are distinctions between doing roids and clen and big time enhancing drugs, and in taking supplements with Ostarine, which is a SARM.....meaning that it is mostly useless and does next to nothing. And in the millionth of a gram range that Garcia's tested for, it was obviously contamination or test tampering. Garcia also tested negative for anything a month before the fight, per VADA.

That is the reason this situation is so ridiculous. Fans of Haney or racially motivated people are acting like "this is a travesty, people hate Haney cause he is black, he has been hurt for life, needs therapy"....the dude got knocked down and beat up. He is a fake. Has some skills but is just not a tough guy, he has whined and cried for years.

Garcia can be an idiot with his behavior. But he has power, stops guys, has built his own career, he doesn't need a promoter, he is outspoken. He backs up his **** talk at least.

This situation has just been so overblown. There is context in what happened, what was apparently in the test results, how much. But as always, people are ignoring facts to make the situation what they want it to be.

If Garcia got popped for roids and clen and other high powered stuff, I'd support a ban. This is just silliness.
