Why so much hate for Haney? He's obviously a very talented, world class fighter who pushed himself against top competition at a young age. Show some respect!

its not accurate, at all. you can go and review almost any fight and its way off. just go look at fury usyk round 1. compubox says fury landed 9 punches in round 1? where are they? i watched the round in slow mo and saw 1 jab land clean and maybe another debatable jab land. so lets say 2 clean punches and yet it has him landing 4 and a half times that amount. its junk. it counts punches that land on gloves as clean punches, it counts misses as clean punches, it counts push offs as punches etc...i first found this out in hopkins calzaghe when it had calzaghe landing 20+ punches a round and then i went back to try and find them and could barely find a couple. it has no credibility at all and should not be used in any way as a justification for scoring a fight. if you want to do your own numbers to score a round thats great but using compubox is a terrible way. loma landed way more clean punches than haney and landed the higher quality punches rocking haneys head around constantly. the only way to say haney won is to use fake numbers.

Lot of posters come off ad fake and phony given there was a perverse joy when Ryan won, rooted in race. Check a lot of the post fight comments and the subsequent bans.

When it turned out he cheated, a lot of posters looked incredibly bad. Instead of just criticizing Ryan, they doubled down and gave him every excuse.

The fact is those posters don’t care if Ryan cheated using PEDs or not. So long as the black guy lost.

Sad but that is where too many posters are at this point.

Really sad part is that for boxing fans, the positive PED test ruined a great stat making performance by someone many of us see as a boxer that can grow the sport.
      This. 100 percent truth.

        Who won?

Do u think Mayweather would have lost against Ryan, PEDs or not?

        • The fight between Haney and Garcia was a fight that I was ok for both fighters to lose, but honestly at first I was happy that Garcia won, because Haney was talking too much... then came the steroid part and its disgusting. so Garcia did not make to weight on purpose, plus to PEDs, whats that? attempted murder?

What lacks cognitive thought is your response to my post. You immediately defended people for no reason other than you assumed I meant everyone when I didn’t say everyone.

That still doesn’t make much sense to me. How he tries to market himself shouldn’t overshadow the fact he does what fans want boxers at the top level to do.

In that case he cheated first, that is understandable why you wouldn’t have sympathy. Haney hasn’t cheated. He gave Ryan a fight when others wouldn’t.

You don’t have to defend Haney, just don’t defend Ryan and cheating, no matter how you feel about Devin.

This is just basic right and wrong. Haney did nothing wrong. Ryan did multiple things wrong. One deserves scorn. The other does not.
Dude, then the only explanation is that you dont actually READ what you post.

The thread topic was "why the hate for Haney", and your immediate reply was "It is pretty obvious at this point the reason"

And for the record, I dont defend Garcia. I simply dont care. Haney thought he had an unfocused dead man and an easy payday, took the extra money for the extra weight (same as Floyd vs JMM), but it backfired and he got himself put on the floor. Several times. It is what it is........

To which I then specified those that did that specific thing. Perhaps in the future I will word it better.

It’s a problem if you don’t care. The weight is not a big deal. The PEDs are. That he still fought was more
likely because he didn’t want to cheat the fans, not because he thought he had an easy payday.

The weight didn’t put him on the floor, the PEDs did. You are giving Ryan credit as if he was clean.

That level of hatred for Haney is absolutely irrational.

I most certainly am not. But I have read several reports that the amounts detected are so ridiculously small, that is is most likely a cross-contamination issue with other legal supplements. And the one he got popped for isnt even a muscle builder or anything that would have given him any measurable benefit.

That being said, he had an illegal substance in his test, and the punishment is appropriate. I just wish commissions were consistent, and if you pop dirty for ANY reason, you pay the price. Its difficult to ignore the politics when this fighter gets penalties, yet other fighters get a pass. It should be consistent.

Bottom line though is that Haney got his ish pushed in. Plain and simple. People can dismiss it if they want. Even Haney knows it, which is why he's begging for a rematch now. If he REALLY believed he was taken advantage of, do you actually think he would be begging for another fight with Garcia?

If the rematch happens at 147, Haney and a lot of other people are going to have to be placed on suicide watch because he’s going to lose again, and next time it will by stoppage.

Both are cheaters. The better cheater won.

He took it that way because if you throw rocks at a pack of wolves the ones that get hit will holler.

Check out his post history and you'll see why he was offended. That's why he and the other suspects pretend that what you're saying is not true even though it's clear to see.

When you minimize the usage of PEDs, that comes off as defending him.

                      Agree with you on consistency.

He got destroyed by a guy that came in heavy and used PEDs. Not dismissing it, but can’t act like those don’t impact what we saw, especially since Ryan never looked that dynamic as a pro in any fight.

Yes, I think Haney would rematch him. This was likely his biggest payday. That and I think Haney has shown he will fight anyone, anytime.

I also think he knows that he needs to work on his defense. He knows he got dominated and needs to rectify that.

Haney, After the fight, before the PED positive, he handled the loss with class. Let’s stop acting like he didn’t.
