The story that was confirmed by the Mexican outlets is that it's a step aside deal, but that doesn't mean that Canelo is fighting Benavides, it's still probably going to be Berlanga but who knows, the fact that Canelo would take on someone who doesn't deserve it and avoid 2 Mando's is a travesty even though Scull definitely doesn't deserve as well. Hopefully Canelo thought Benavides looked bad enough on Saturday and gives him a shot already....

It's a good plan, maybe a great plan, I say run with it.

If not Canelo needs to deal with scull, and you know how dangerous he is. Assuming you know who Billy Scull is..

If not Scull, it's Berlanga or bust

Canelo fans tried to talk up Munguia and Charlo...with a straight face.

What a comical thing for you to say.

Surely not this fight, with all due respect to Scull.

I'd be surprised if it was made, because it's a hard sell to say the least.

So, if it is step aside deal so he can fight Berlanga, since his loss to Bivol in May of 2022, Alvarez would have the following fights:

-Trilogy fight with a semi-retired Golovkin.
                -John Ryder.
-Jermell Charlo stepping up 2 divisions.
-Munguia (which was a decent fight).
                -Berlanga?
                -Than maybe this Scull guy?

I mean, just saying that is not screaming "best fighter on the planet" stuff. He kinda does need the Benavides.

Ah now the WBA are ahead in rotation despite Canelo fighting his WBA mando last year? People literally just say anything lol.

Ryder was WBO mando, after beating Parker . I’m not defending Canelo either….

Benavidez should fight Charlo , not Morrell tho. Name value huh? Haha

Ok my bad. How is Berlanga ahead of Morrell for WBA. Morrell is still the reg champ there I think.
