Evening all - Whitaker sometimes reminds me of Ennis, albeit less powerful and not as focused. IMO he looks like he has a higher ceiling than he's showing right now in his career, but if I were his coach I wouldn't want him to have bad concentration habits when it comes to guys who can box with him, hurt him, or both. Don't get me wrong, extremely good shot selection and REALLY good sense of range, which is definitely one of my x-factors for assessing a fighter's potentialComment

Yeah agreed on the bold. Immense timing and use of distance and also genuinely a creative fighter and can work with things really well on the fly. When he’s not showboating, he’s great to watch.Evening all - Whitaker sometimes reminds me of Ennis, albeit less powerful and not as focused. I forget he’s a light heavy with his speed and the way he moves. If he can stay sharp through 12 rounds against the elite he’s going to be a hard fighter to beat, but very lucky that Beterbiev is at the end of his career. He can drain anyone’s gas tank.Comment

TBH, if he has a strong chin then he's a real handful even with the showboating and slight dent it makes in his work rate, but it just looks like he has the raw toolset to be almost as much of a nightmare as Ennis - he's showing lots of angles and punches in bunches in these last couple of rounds, which was definitely called for

Edit: But yes, of course Artur would end him, although they'll never fightComment
