dude im mexican to the fullest. just because i have german blood dont mean ****. a white american will consider them selves american, even though their blood is from europe. my great grandfather was german but lived in mexico because he had a share in a printing company. his wife and the rest of my ancestors are mexican.

I dont understand how anyone can claim to be of certain nationality when they were not either born or raised there, it must be one of the other, otherwise that is not your nationality as far as im concerned.

Most Chicanos I know, don't claim "Mexican" based on their nationality, but rather our heritage and culture. Being raised in a household of Mexican customs and traditions, I've always called myself "Mexican". Is my spanish great?

Hardly, seeing as I'm at least a 3rd gener. With that said, "I've been called 'pocho' plenty of times when my grandfathers customers figured out the kid they were speaking to on the phone didn't speak much spanish.

But it never stopped them from buying me a soda and a taco at the charreaddas on Sundays.

their managers tell them to cash in on their blood line even though they dont give a **** about their roots. i was watching ronnie rios(sucks btw) on FSN in spanish. i see "mexico" on his trunks. see the post fight interview, and the fraud has broken spanish like a mother fucker, he basically cant speak spanish. rocky juarez wears mexican colored trunks and comes out to mexican music and he cant even speak spanish. my question to them is when is the last time they went to mexico? do they care about keeping the heritage? do they even care about mexicans? im tired of these fucking panzy ass pochos exploiting the mexican people. im thinking im going to go pro just for the purpose of smashing their fucking faces in, show them what a real mexican-american is.

Chinese Americans are very diffrent from people from China, African Americans are very diffrent from people in africa. Irish americans are nothing like their relitives in Ireland. As a Mexican American myself I have come to the conclusion that my Paisanos from Mexico are just as backwards ass ignorent as my fellow Americans who to this day will never acknowledge me as an actual "American" even though I was born here.

Everybody's got a story. I'm not gonna get all Tyra Banks or Oprah Winfrey on all of you, but this whole "If You Were Born And Raised Here You're American" thing is more a recent development where I'm from. My background (and I'm simplyfing **** here), I've always been seen as Mexican in America and a foreigner in Mexico. So in a way, fitting in both American and Mexican culture is sometimes kinda weird for some Chicanos, with emphasis on "some."

But, whatever, I don't think we should get so pissed off at posers. If they act like clowns they'll get clowned.
