Povetkin would have ironed Wilder out so bad.

Can you imagine how different the last several years at heavyweight might have looked if Povetkin wasn't taking meldonium.

I'm convinced even the washed up version AJ beat would have flatlined any version of Wilder.

I remember backing Povetkin to win, I wanted him to win, but I did have doubt in my mind about him getting caught by a Wilder right hand.

Avoid the telegraphed right and you can at least cruise to a wide UD

Really? Povetkin look scared and worried sitting ringside when wilder demolished Artur Szpilka.

Povetkin was often juiced to the gills. Don't forget that the Stiverne fight also fell through so they brought Duhaupas in on ones days notice while he was on vacation with his family.

Against a juiced up Povetkin, and 24 hours removed from sipping ****tails with the wife, the Frenchman still managed to last 6 rounds.

How many of their fights have you actually attended to conclude that? Very, very different perspective vs a screen. Not the same at all.

Duhaupas often did that. Highly underrated heavyweight.
When he had a good camp, he was very good. See his Frankish vs. Viking showdown with Helenius for reference.

Best French heavyweight ever. And let's don't forget; the French have a winning record in battle against the English. Look it up.

I was a fan of the Lizard. Tougher than nails. I was surprised when Yoka got him out in one round.

Povetkin always looked much better when he fought in Russia, sparking out tough men like Perez and Takam while barely beating Huck in Germany and looking less than invincible against Price in the UK.
