In the Zhang fight, Wilder was his usual low-output self while throwing the occasional bombs in the 2nd and 5th round that would have landed and folded every nondescript fighter he faced up until Fury. Put him back with any one of them and he’ll be back to his “scintillating best”, I’m certain of it. The simple fact is Wilder has now been stepping up his competition and is getting found short - everything else is secondary.
Zhang, and CERTAINLY Parker are hardly a step up from Ortiz (2 Kos) and Fury (4 knockdowns and a Draw).

When Tyson was Wilder's age with a similar number of fight he was getting drilled into the floorboards by the lofty likes of Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

You don't like Wilder, the United States or African Americans. That's the issue here.

His net worth is over 50 million. He'll be OK.
Still, if Anderson gets past Bakole, Wilder can put another 10 mil in the bank.
Either way, his was a HOF career.

Sometimes, sadly, top professional sports athletes have to walk away when the body doesn't perform like it used to.

We may want Halle Berry and JLo at same time, but yeah, we can adjust the goals haha.

I digress, Wilder had a very good career and has millions in his bank account.

Hopefully his health is good and no brain damage.

Tf are you talking about? Who the hell did Ortiz beat that you’re bringing him up? You make excuses for Wilder’s age, yet ironically Ortiz was older than what Wilder is now at the time of their first fight, and had far more miles on the clock. If we’re being fair, do you agree we should discount those wins for Wilder, based on Ortiz’s age?

All your other points are so debased I’m not even gonna bother answering them. How are you comparing the performances by age of Wilder with Tyson, who was HW champ at 20 and peaked at an age that Wilder hadn’t even started boxing? And aren’t you the clown from another thread who argued that Wilder is the 2nd greatest fighter in this era? Gtfoh you’ve lost your damn mind, if ever you even had one in the first place.

Trust, he needs to dial down his level of competition and it will look like he’s back again. Problem is the Saudis won’t put up money for those type of gimme fights, so he’s probably better off throwing in the towel.

Well said, bro. Wilder was overhyped and overrated.

True he probably didn't want to come back after his Parker loss against Zhang.

But he might want to keep boxing? Leave it up to him to decide. All it takes is one KO against a decent fighter and people will start saying he is back.

He had one; then he fired him.‍

To be frank, Halle Berry had kinda the same career trajectory as Wilder. She was at her peak in The Last Boy Scout, but refused to do nudity at the time. Then she started to feel her beauty slipping away and decided to finally go topless in The Swordfish, but that scene looked awkward and out of place as all hell. Still, a good movie, thanks to Travolta.

Now she is old and ill and I can't seem to remember her career-defining performance.

                      Just like Wilder.

As for JLo, I don't know. She went to her ex, who now it seems went back to his alcoholic roots and she still acts like she's hot at 50-something. Had to cancel a tour, too. Word's on the street, due to poor ticket sales.
