In the Zhang fight, Wilder was his usual low-output self while throwing the occasional bombs in the 2nd and 5th round that would have landed and folded every nondescript fighter he faced up until Fury. Put him back with any one of them and he’ll be back to his “scintillating best”, I’m certain of it. The simple fact is Wilder has now been stepping up his competition and is getting found short - everything else is secondary.
I always remember how often Duhaupas and Spilka(?) hit Deontay. I thought I was the only who noticed at the time.

I also thought it was a mistake to put him in with Zhang. 280 lbs with a really solid chin who will push Deontay backwards wasnt a good matchup.
